Looking at getting the

LI NING WINDSTORM 690

Does anyone own this?

Some places say it's flexible shaft, others say medium.

I don't like flexible shafts so want to find out before buying

hi

normally windstorm series has flexible shaft . i havent tried ws690 but i am using ws 680 which is not really a flexible shaft and is a decent racket for doubles play if you are looking for medium shaft and a racket for doubles play try n7 or n9

both are superb rackets and much better then windstorm series

my all time favourite from li ning is N90 III

I have a chance to buy some Li Ning demo rackets at a cheap price.
They aren't really demo rackets(not like straight from the lining factory before release) but just rackets that were bought and used throughout clubs for testing.

I usually play men's doubles and hit pretty hard from the middle, back. Also love speed.

Any of these worth looking at?

Lining Turbocharging 7, 9 speed
LD90 II
N9, N7


If anybody knows any info about these rackets...please share. Lining doesn't seem like they want to write down rackets specs It's hard to come across weight, balance, stiffness of lining rackets. All they do is list all the fancy technology stuff they put it the racket.

Anybody know the difference between Turbocharging 9 speed, Turbocharging 7 speed?

All it shows on different stores, lining websites is that they are
Both medium flex
675mm in length
9 speed is a MP series(Mega Power)
7 speed is a PM series(Pro Master)

But they seem like two exactly same rackets...
lining loves naming their technology, series in a fancy way and don't really show racket specs...

I'm thinking the Turbocharging 9 speed, 7 speed is the downgrade version of N9, N7 which would be a mid range racket so it doesn't show up on there.

 

It's there sir. Need to look carefully in the guide.

 

Nope...all they have is the Turbocharging N7, N9, 7TD

They don't have the 9speed or the 7speed

 

Ah! I see what you are looking for.

The "S" versions are designed to make the racket easier to swing by becoming less head heavy and a more flexible shaft kind of like the N90II and the N90II-S

 

Check some of the slow motion videos on youtube. When you see how much some of those Li ning rackets flex/ bend at the shaft you will believe the specs! I watched a match on badminton tv and in the intervals they showed slo mo highlights. The amount of flex was incredible.

 

It's actually surprising to see the bend of stiff rackets in slow motion.

Hey, I was wondering if the stiffness ratings of Li-Ning are the same as those of Yonex. For example: Is the Li-Ning N7, which is rated as medium, the same stiffness like VT5 or VT70 or is it stiffer or more flexible? And how flexible would you rate the N9 which is rated as flexible?

 

It seems Li Ning is rating its rackets on the soft side. There is no stiff Li Ning racket going with their rating.
But I have a N50-2 which is rated medium, but the flex is similar to a stiff Arc10.
