hi everyone, I'm new here in Tokyo and I'm staying at roppongi area. Just wanted to know where I can play badminton. I'm intermediate player and I would really appreciate if you can give me direction. thanks
Please send a request to the below group. There are active members and most of the them speak english. They usually play every Tuesday and Saturday. Tuesdays at Kinsicho and Saturdays at Tamachi. http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/TokyoShuttlers/
I have recently started an international-Japanese badminton group in Tokyo. Main reason is it can be hard to integrate in some Japanese groups and get information. The aim is to allow users to post badminton events around Tokyo (different days, different places), rather than a club in 1 location. If we can build up enough people... We now play in Kinshicho and Shibuya. Maybe soon in Kasai and other locations. The group is now on Meetup.com but might move it to our domain name site later. _____________________________________ Tokyo Badminton 東京 バドミントン (+千葉) For Foreign and Japanese badminton players in the Tokyo and Chiba area. Anyone can organize games in different locations and post to other members. Beginner to advanced level welcome. http://www.meetup.com/Tokyo-Badminton/ 東京および千葉エリアでゲームをすることに興味を持っているバドミントン・プレーヤー (外国で日本)のために。 This is non-profit … it has to be cost price. People share the court and shuttle costs. _____________________________________ I used to play a lot but that was over 20 years ago. Recently decided to start playing more again so would like to find more higher level players. We have plenty of beginners...
Hey guys! I'm moving to Tokyo from Stockholm, Sweden for university & language studies in late September. I am 19 and pretty good! So right now I'm looking for practice partners, and thought this would be a good site. I am aiming to play atleast 4 times a week, but I'd be very happy to play just every now and then with You! If you feel like getting a practice partner, please contact me! // D ljunggren271@hotmail.com
http://www.meetup.com/Tokyo-Badminton/ You can register free for this. Good place to meet other players and get contacts for other groups. The reason I started it is that the Japanese do not have good websites (many no website at all) and usually only in Japanese. The group is growing quickly with almost 100 members in 2 months so expect more by the time you arrive. We now have people playing 3 or 4 times a week - Kinshicho, Shibuya, Tamachi. I expect this to grow also.
Forgot to mention... of course there are many beginners but the number of higher level players is increasing - we can make an intermediate level club night now.
Updates link for Tokyo Badminton The link changed recently we are here: Tokyo Badminton 東京 バドミントン http://www.meetup.com/Tokyo-Badminton-Club/
