Thats right i have to self-center it myself, which takes a lot of time and configuration, but i am happy with the current setup for now. The most annoying thing about the 5003 for me right now is the 3 knobs i have to deal with when pulling strings cuz it can get snag up on it if i am not careful. But other than that, i can get the wise very close to the table and so on. The 6004 is a really nice system though, and I think I am a bit jealous lol
Its not slanted, it is the same setup as the current mount therefore its at 90 angle. Just look at the last picture. Besides how can it be slanted since im not mounting an aluminum block on the side...this aluminum blocked i milled out to spec...
the WISE tension head has a natural 3 degree or so slant that despite the mount being vertical, the gripper slants slightly when looked from the end:
hi kwun, now that you have purchased this machine... what are you going to do with your ASE? are you going to sell it? =O
today, i finally received the badminton end support that i was supposed to have gotten 1.5 months ago. Gamma again and again sent the wrong parts to me. but finally, i received it. now i can weave and tension the top cross properly. it was tight fit and i added some grease to ease the movement of the end support.
It was the same for me when I received it. I just reversed the throat and head supports and everything fitted well. For some reason, one side's hole seems larger than the other
so i saw something earlier about the 10% rule for the cross and mains, are you using it for this machine? what have you concluded?
here... Ti-10 Gen2 strung 22x22 pattern, tension is 27lbs x 27lbs. usually with aftermarket load spreader there is no space to weave the top cross and it ends up bent. with the Gamma end support there is tons of space left. the only drawback might be it is 3 fingers instead of 5. but so far there seems to be no problems.
Wonder if the Babolat rackets will have problems... 20 mains means the holes are spaced wider, and they certainly make a mockery of my MBS load-spreaders. Side-note - I'm furious you chose a Ti-10 yellow; I've been after one of those for a YEAR now!
babolat badminton racket has tennis spacing: the strings are closer on the middle than on the sides. so it is not a problem at all. even if it is uniform spacing, 10% is hardly of an issue. and i verified it with my Babolat.
i have since strung 25 rackets on the new end support. rock solid. no issues with it at all. the thin profile makes weaving the top cross a breeze and it never gets in the way nor have a string tangles on the teeth.
Bro Kwun, I am currently using the Eagnas Combo 810 - crank machine with Michal's Side Support, if I happen to have budget for upgrading; Do you recommend to upgrade the turn-table to Gamma (6-points) and continue using the crank or stick to the current setup, with WISE 2086? As you know, Strinigng is an expensive hobby and not really making money, so any investment must careful.
