I've got the coloured load spreaders on their way already, thanks Mark.

The ones that come with the Pro's Pro machine are not brilliant. The one's that Michal supplies are brilliant and brilliant service too! The price is good too including shipping. They make a real difference.

Who is Michal? Link please! It's got to be worth it for when the hole hides under a support if nothing else :)

*You rated this job two out of ten..............I agree..........:D,I rate my job in general, seven out of ten.:D

*If I'm not sure what stringing pattern to do and what tension to go with,I usually study the grommets

and think what the engineer try to tell me by the looks of it.You'll know what I'm talking about after fifty

    stringing jobs or so.

*I think some cheap strings is essential to start with.I buy some cheap strings directly from

manufacturer, like twenty dollars a reel.A minimum order is five reels,I remember. They make tennis

strings and fishing lines as well. You can dig them out if you could just google a bit.I don't buy good

and freshly made strings because they wouldn't give discount to anyone. They usually ship the strings

to big company once they're finished. If you're lucky you can buy some new strings even before you

    see them on the market.

Does this look normal for a finishing knot? Seems to do the job ok!

    I'm sorry - I couldn't see any knot. I only saw the unused grommet:mad:!

Back on topic, as long as it doesn't sink into the hole, it's fine.

I'll write to Victor and tell them to stop putting unnecessary extra holes in their frames ;)

Haha, that's a cool statement. Until you see some other funny frame like Head :)

Freshly strung vs no strings. Maybe 2mm shorter. And very flat at the top. I use a rough interpretation of Haribito.

There's a cross missing at the top...

You might avoid the flat top if you do a top-down - my rackets tend to lose their "corners" at first, but they regain their shape after a few hours' play.

Thanks Mark. Technically there's a Cross missing off the bottom too. Currently doing as many as looks OK without adding too many, for minimal air resistance. Is this bad practice? My main concern was the shape, I think it's OK though.

I started from about 4/5th cross down, I thought this would count as top down. I'll do a traditional 2PTD on the next Carlton.

Not as far as frame stress goes, but you're going to see more top-cross breakages than usual.

As far as shape goes, 1-2 mm of shortening is fine.
