    i've got one as well! it's a very good zoom lens.
    from your pictures, it seems that ais 80-200mm f/4 had produced an image with the least sharpness when comparing to others.
    in my mind, it should be able to beat a modern nikon af zoom very easily! but it looks like i was wrong!:crying:

    dont panic; it could be out of focus... :)

    it is quite difficult for me to focus through the little window (the viewfinder) and with my old man sight. and on that day, the wind is blowing quite strong. I was taken the picture some ten ft. away or so from the object, and on a mini tripod.

    I thought I will take another shot when the day is more calm.

    the focus seems fall in front of the yellow rose rather on the purple lily.

    is this some deep sea thingy? the array of colours assaulted my senses. especially the white and blue strips in the bottom right corner. :D
