Liem Swie King was not the only one good in both, so was Erland Kops, Christian Hadinata, Eddy Choong, even Misbun Sidek when he started out.

Anyway, this was possible 20-40 years ago, not now. The divisions and specialization of disciplines are just much too great, now even MD/WD players are not necessarily good in XD when paired together, much less when playing singles, or vice-versa.

Actually, players like LinDan and YangYang, who have somewhat "compact" bodies are more suitable for mens singles. They can run around and twist and turn better.

Maybe BCL thinks that Superdan is his senior.....that's why he give him chance......a kind of respect.......hahahahahahahaha...............
    just joking........

The main reason is because Superdan is more skillful and also he has more experience than BCL!!!!:p:p

their friendship and understanding are tougher than lcw/th.when we talk about doubles,it means work together.
