I went to Wan Kee (at INS Salon) today; it's above Kin Yee.

The Yonex shoes are quite cheap. SHB-65FT is only HK$642. Most other YY models are also cheap. (This store doesn't have any Mizuno shoes.)

I think Yonex rackets seem to be in the same price range as Rose. yonex voltric z force ltd is $1400. Strings seems expensive.

They have the latest Yonex's jerseys and shorts, but seems there is no discount.

Tennis rackets and strings however seem very popular.

The main problem for me when shopping for shoes is finding my size, 29.0 cm. Next time you go to a store do you mind checking if they have it? Thanks :)

That'd be utterly pointless since it'd be an expensive international call and I'd have no way of following up on it by picking up any shoes. Thanks anyway.

    Best badminton shop in HK

    Hi guys...,

Just came back from HK and bought my Voltric Z-force ltd from Mr. Alan Chen in 1/F 102A Fa Yuen Street, Mongkok. You need to go up the stairs and you will find this paradise for badminton lovers. Alan was so kind in explaining the difference between all the codes JP, SP, TW etc. He said that it was just code for the marketing area, so that people in Singapore will buy the one coded SP, people in Taiwan will get the TW but all rackets are made in Japan, they all have the hologram stickers as well. In HK you will mostly find SP rackets, and I bought one.

Anyways, he strings the racket for me as well, the standard BG65 was free and add another 10 bucks for the BG80. He also threw in the grip for free. And even invited me to play along with his team mates on Sunday, too bad I couldn't make it.

I went and checked out several stores in Mongkok, Alan is the best one! He also has a website and delivers overseas. www.puppysports.com Check it out =)

I have my reservations about this shop. This is the shop that deliberately confuses us consumers on the original Kimony brand for grips with the ripoff Kimoni. (note the spelling difference).

The one off purchases where you visit the shop and can examine your purchase should be OK. Bulk overseas orders you can't check your goods so.....

Within Mongkok, the pricing of this shop is quite reasonable.

This is the same store where I bought 4 rackets and SHB-65FT from earlier this year. The store has competitive pricing and Alan has decent English/Mandarin for me to communicate with him well enough. Will definitely come back here again next time!!!
