Now SK is showing off his attacking power, leads 12-10.

    CL hits out 13-10.

A weak push at the net cost SK a point. But a soft backhand block saved him a point 15-13.

Another BH block from CL's BH smash gave SK a good lead 17-13 now.

Among the Gigantic Trio, Chen Long is the easiest to beat for the rest of the players.

The problem with Chen Long is he's a bit too conservative even when attacking in succession.

A close call for CL' side line smash and another net cross gave CL 16-17.

MY, what a rally, return of smash from SK successful but not from CL 16-18.

Unforced error from Chen Long at a crucial time.

    18-all!

CL kills the net return from SK.

But an impatient CL smash out immediately afterwards. 19-18 SK.

The pressure is more on Chen Long now, and he's not very good at handling it.

Can SK beat the Olympic Champ one week and the World Champ the next week today?

this sentence has no logic at all

    first :
China open is not major title, it is only SS Premier...the same status with AE, Malaysia and others...but surely, one level lower than OLY and World Champ

    second :
what can we expect from the old guard like Lin Dan whom is injury / recovering from injury. even if someone beat LD whom is still young and free of injury like Peter Gade back to China Masters 2006, it is still debatable

    third :
there are so many memorable achivement which is far greater than what KS do in China 2014. one of them is :

Ji Xinpeng won Olympics Gold by defeating world #1, 2 and 3 from QF to Final : Taufik Hidayat, Peter Gade and Hendrawan..all of them are skillful players, and they still young except Hendrawan.

remember, Olympics Gold, not only China SSP

the question is : right now, how many of you can remember this historic wins ???

25 years later from now, how many of you still remember of JXP sensational win ?

compare it with Srikanth who is only winning china open against the old player and still injury / recovering from injury lol

CL has seemingly been much more aggressive with his backhand in recent months. Anyone else notice it? He almost never clears and does a backhand drop while mixing it up with some beautiful backhand smashes that taufik would be proud of.

Anyhow, good match thus far! Excited for 3rd game

CL will be then man under pressure now. If SK beats CL today, China will be a worried lot.
