lol... the reason LCW made sharp shots etc was because of him, not the racket. maybe a little percentage may participate in the comfort of hitting, but overall, its the skill he has and the power he generates that gets him results. The vt80 maybe a good/great racket (havent tried, so dont know) but i can honestly say, it wont do nothing for a player using an at900 today, then suddenly switching to the vt 80 the next.
lol...im sure the switch wasn't as "suddenly" as u described. im not discrediting LCW of his skills and composure for winning against LD yesterday. what i was trying to point out is he has never won as comprehensively as he did against LD as he did last night. he was dictating the pace and direction of most of the game. if im not mistaken, and if i do pls forgive me, this is also the first time he has beaten LD in straight games apart for the swiss open in 2009. surely the new racket did something for him. some say that its an endorsement effort because of contractual obligations, i guess its at least worth it cause it landed him the title. all said and done if in the next open he opts to to go back to AT900P then mayb the racket didn't really matter...
Seriously it's the player not the racket once you get to a certain high level as there are numerous rackets with similar qualities.
LEE CHONG WEI with his VT80 Yonex sunrise can make a new advertisement poster already.. View attachment 93280 photo credits to: badminton photo..(badzine)
well you guys are all right in a way... cos i think given his skills shouldnt have any problem with any racket but then (i only manage to watch semi and final) his shot placement and control was much better it seems. but well i still think sales will raise haha
Lee Chong Wei the Champion of All England MS using Voltric 80 Mathias Boe ---> Voltric 80 Carsten Mogensen ---> Voltric 70 and they are winner of All England MD that's the best advertisement for Yonex I really think that the sales will go up significantly
It looks like he's just missed the shuttle......but as you can see from the tone of this thread, it's all about pretending there is no illusion.
Obviously he is taking it facing the net sideways with the photographer near the net and the coach in the corner back there. At the very least you can actually order this one unlike some other racket
today i had the good fortune to swing both the VT80 and the MX80 (note swing only, the VT80 belongs to me and the MX80 belongs to a friend) and my first impression is that the VT80 feel very forceful with each swing sort of like gaining momentum and finish with a 'bang' feeling and the mx80 feels quick, not BS10 kind of quick, but quick and the sound as it swing thru the air is nice!! will be pitting against each other this thursday =P
I was cheering Lee Chong Wei on !! It was good that he won. I would buy those shoes but then I'll need to buy a new set of badminton clothes. I wear black and red clothes you see it wouldn't match.
At the tournament Lots of people were curious to know what racket Lee Chong Wei was using and I saw quite a few people buying the Voltric 80 although it is very expensive £190
