Wow, that's a nice win for Eom/Kim over the more established INA pair of Me/Greys 21-14, 21-16

Yup,from the way i watched them play last week, they will surely be korea top pairs in the future. Maybe they already learnt a lot from last week's match. Anyway, good luck to them for 2moro's clash with the top seed...

Ki Jung was born in '90. Sa Rang was born in '89. Both in August.

    Korea does a doubles shuffle

    From Badzine

"The Korean National Badminton Team has decided on its entire doubles roster on the eve of the departure for Qingdao of its twelve-member Sudirman Cup squad.

All but one of the 8 doubles players bound for Qingdao were exempt from the qualifying tests of the past few days and all of the other stalwarts re-affirmed their places on the team. In addition, 8 new members were selected with 7 others being let go. The most notable casualty was German Open runner-up Kim Sa Rang, who made the transition from singles to doubles in January but has since been left off both teams, for now."

Don't know about cloning, but you can bet they share the same hairstylist. :p
Glad to see that they don't mind dressing against stereotype (girls in blue, boys in pink).

How was the event? Is this something you saw in person?

During the world champs was watching TBH and KKK getting annihilated by the Korean mens pair (sorry didnt catch their names) damn big boys one of them was like the hulk made the racket look like a toothpick in his hand.
The korean diet of lots of beef and kimchee looks to be serving them well. Some of the hardest looking asians i ever saw were in seoul, and thats not to mention the film oldboy (great movie)

Oh I've never been present. It is really a small scale event held when the Korean juniors are preparing in Denmark for the German Junior tournament so I'll asume it was held at the time of the Dutch Junior tournament that precedes the German.
Found out the above was the 2010 edition and played in Thomas/Uber Cup style with 3 singles and 2 doubles. Maybe the results are ment to stay behind closed doors as they seem impossible to find other than a mention that Axelsen beat Ha Young Woong (and again in the SF of the German where Ha was seeded #1)

    Danish selection for the meet:

    Herrer:
    Mikkel Mikkelsen, Værløse
    Kim Astrup, Ikast
    Flemming Quach, AB
    Morten Brødbæk, Højbjerg
    Rasmus Messerschmidt, Allinge-Sandvig, Tejn
    Niclas Nøhr, Solrød
    Rasmus Fladberg, Solrød
    Nikolaj Overgaard, Højbjerg
    Frederik Colberg, Holbæk
    Viktor Axelsen, OBK

    Damer:
    Sara Thygesen, Erritsø
    Sandra-Maria Jensen, Solrød
    Mette Poulsen, Skælskør
    Line Kjærsfeldt, AB
    Celia Villebro, OBK
    Maria Herskind, Højbjerg
    Mette Schytt, OBK
    Lena Grebak, Solrød
    Ditte Strunge, Solrød
    Lene Clausen, Erritsø

And here are the Korean entries for the German Jr http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/players.aspx?id=3832797C-4ABA-40E3-986B-4E6CFA069D69&c=KOR

Across the front there you have Shin Seung Chan, Park So Young, Lee So Hee, Ko Eun Byul, and Kim Chan Mi. I don't recognize the other two girls. The girl with the missing chin is Park Ko Woon and the one with the hidden mouth is Yang Ran Sun. The boys across the back are probably Kim Dae Sun, Jin Yong Hoon, Kim Min Ki, and Lee Hong Je, right behind the girls are definitely Asian Junior champions Kang Ji Wook and Choi Seung Il.

The haircuts are imposed on the girls, obviously. It is a control mechanism. The regular students at their middle and high schools have uniforms and some haircut rules but the bowl haircuts seem to be more strictly enforced for the athletes at that level.

Japan Open draws have been announced.
And there were some surprising changes to the MD pairs.
Lee Yong Dae will be partnering with Ko Sung Hyun, while
Jung Jae Sung will be partnering with Yoo Yeong Song.

Personally I find LYD&KO quite exciting to watch,
probably the future korean ace pair after JJS retires.
Thought LYD would carry on until JJS at least upto the olympics,
    anyone know what's going on?
Combination of JJS's power with Yoo's speed play will also be
    very interesting to watch..

i think korea player has big improvement.
but to win thomas cup korea must win 1 single and is too hard ( biggest opponent still china suppose lee-jung can win offer cai-fu, koo-yoo win offer chai-guo. still nedd 1 win and in singles PSH vs LD, LHI vs CL and singles 3 vs CJ. it's too hard). in uber and sudirman cup is more hard.
