Unfortunately, she didn't win the best actress award. It was won by someone else.

She was crying because they lost the first set and it was time for act 2 of the play: "The injury" (1st set = win remember :p)

Tang Jinhua/Huan Xia ranks #85 with 10820 points at present, if they take part in many major tourneys till May 2012 and make good results, perhaps they will have chance to be sent to OG12

They already have so many ranking points. They have only lost 1 match in their career together as a pair. I don't think they will lose their #1 ranking. Plus, they gave up points to their compatriot so they still end up with more points than any other nation's pair. This will give a chance to those 2 young girls to gain more ranking points and qualify for the Olympics so that the Chinese can have the max # of players for each event. Right now China has only two WD in the top 25. This new pair could be the 3rd one. (Yunlei Zhao is listed twice in top 25 as she played with different partners)

The youngsters are currently ranked 80 something in the world. They need to move up a lot to make it to OG. With this win, their ranking will skyrocket.

dunno. maybe team rule for only one game = winner. save the energy and injury possibility to compete for the next 12 months.

I didn't say they lost the first set on purpose. But the "traditional" LYB instruction in head-to-head is whoever wins the 1st set wins (to save energy for next round/tournament) ;), so first set could've been no holds barred play. But I only joined at 18-18 so didn't see what Gill CLark was commenting about ...
