if you are ranked no 1 (through no fault of your own).. and dont hv high expectations.. why bother playing?

trick is not to be afraid of having high expectations...

    They tried their best..

..but at the same time, it shows that their WR #1 means absolutely nothing more than an accumulation of points by attending more tourneys. I don't know abt them being or not being fully fit & all, the fact shows that they're able to force a rubber game and even had a pretty sizeable lead in the 3rd game.
Anyway, they tried their best but i guess their best ain't good enuff..

yea, they hav tried their best but i just wonder what happen at middle of g3 when jap get 8 consec points.
i hav notice they always hv trouble against jap pair including this pair n reiko/kumiko. park doing a good job there maybe? hehe. btw a player cant get no 1 ranking oso if they dont perform well even if they enter all the tourneys available. hehe. true that even wong/chin say they are not yet the world no1 cos china players didnt enter many tourneys after OG. but must giv them credit as well for performing good consistently including winning 3 titles so far.
hope they will learn from this experience

About them entering many tourneys and still performing well..

..well, you mentioned one of the reasons also. That many top CHN, as well as non-CHN, pairs didn't enter & compete. I am quite sure if many top WD pairs entered & competed in the same tourneys as they did, WPT & CEH's real ranking would be reflected.
I would say they are almost at, if not already have reached, their peak as a pair, considering their age. In reality, i would rank them behind CHN's top pairs, but along with LHJ & LKW and other pairs from JPN, KOR, TPE and even INA.

    JMO.
wpt and ceh are very good and creative players, not knocking them as a stand alone pair. However, if one consider age and what edge they are lacking over current top double pairs is stamina and muscle or bulk. They lack the smashing power when stretched to the 3rd set. I'm sure they can win a few more titles but BAM need new WD blood for the 2012 OG.

    ^^imo..^^

..WPT & CEH can still survive til 2012 OG. However, by then, they probably will be ineffective as a pair.
limsy, which junior/up & coming pair(s), do you think, will replace WPT/CEH or take over the MAS WD squad for 2012 OG??..WKW? NHL?..

Btw, cooler, did you finally get your new PC?? surfing from home now??..;)
