I just saw a FB died the other day, it was a tragedy. The guy was playing doubles on the court on my right while I was doing some training. I saw how the group play, it was chaotic. Unorganized. Teammates were hitting shuttles which should have been the other guy's. No communication at all. (They were in their late 30s to 40s btw) So I suppose something bad is going to happen sooner or later. But it wasn't long after, when I hear a *crack* *snap* sound. Immediately, I knew it was a goner. I caught a glimpse of what happened. The shuttle flew to the backhand of Alpha (right hander FB owner) who was standing on the right side and tried to do a backhand dropshot when the shuttle was at his head height, and Bravo (teammate of Alpha) decided to do a hard forehand drive. Ouch. After my training, I asked if I could take a look at the FB. It was like a opened fortune cookie. 4 breaking points. The pieces are held together only with the string. A CH coded FB BTW. Yup, $1300rmb burnt. I just hope my FB won't die like that. P.s. sorry if there are lots of typo error. Am typing it on my Nexus 4 in the Shanghai subway.

This is what happen at 25lbs. A mis-hit, string snap and frame give way. Another piece with 24lbs doing good. :crying:
I was trying the new Zymax65 string at 25lbs rather than my usual BG66U at 24lbs. This might not happen if I stick to BG66U with lower tension.
I hate to say this guys but seems like the FB is a very fragile racket. Maybe there is some truth in the rumours that the pro's are using a repainted version of other rackets.
Agreed - whatever Yonex tells you is the breaking tension, add 10 lb, and that's the real breaking tension. Laybourn plays a 3U NR800 with 38... and it's warrantied to 25.

Either all those broken FB are manufacturing errors or the pros really play with repainted versions of other rackets (which i doubt) because Carsten Mogensen uses a FB an his string tension is way beyond 30lbs.

It was a hard smash. I had a few similar mishit with another ArcFB, but it didn't happen like this one. The string snap probably cause the frame to break which never happen to my other racket.
I have clashed 3 times and survived. So far...so lucky The racket feels great! I have added 1 cm of lead tape to the top. Very quick and a lot easier on my sore elbow.
i was one of early adoptees of the flash boost and both my racquets have survived till today... maybe mine are repainted stuffs?!?!
Luv the way M.Ahsan plays using ArcFB in recent tournaments. Quick defense, maneuverability and even his smash is deadly bcoz of how fast he react to it Not to mention great partnership with H.Setiawan

Well, Mogensen (since his name is the one that comes up in relation to paintjobs). Might have a few more decent pics ... Someone mentioned the ZF and FB have the same frame shape
