Not sure whether this is in the right section, so feel free to move mods if inappropriate etc Was just searching to see if there were any members that had good photo shots of when they play themselves, as a lot of people here have high end cameras.
no one have any pics of themselves playing? like favourite caption/shot? Thought there would of been a few seeing as there are alot of people claiming there fav shots eg jump smash etc
ok, will start with a picture. Dont normally take pics of myself playing however, played in a match recently and had a club member take a few pictures of the matches etc.
An "amateur" photographer that lives nearby me followed me to the last tournament, so I got like 150 pictures with just me in them But they are 21 mb each. I can upload a few that I have sized down though PHotographed with Canon 5D, not sure about the exakt lens, but it was a tele-lens btw, I know that i play with my mouth open xD
nice shoes. but the court looks even better. who is that good looking guy in red shirt? by the way, did you win?
What good looking guy? I only see that ugly guy with his mouth open? No, I didn't win that match. Lost it 28-26, 24-22. I had game point in both games xD Yes the courts in that place are awesome, perfect light, perfect floor, perfect colouring. (My favourite place to play )
Not all that nice, I know, in one pic, my racket's completely gone I'll ask her (girl who took those) if she can get a higher res....she likes those blurry pics cause they give you a better idea of the action, but I'd really like to see my racket when I smash - how far I can bend it, where I hit the shuttle.... Anyway, it was a training match which annoyed the hell out of me cause I played way too close to the lines and thus made a lot of errors. I'll probably have a few more pics soon - better ones, I hope. PS: I really like the 7th pic - shows how far you pull the racket back to execute the shot. Looks like you're pretty flexible - at least more than me (my upper body is like super-stiff)
I'm not into photography at all, though I thought it's possible to get a sharp/still subject in foreground, but blurry background to show actions. I've seen it, but not sure how that's achieved.
It's a property of the camera lens. The larger the aperture possible, the more blurring of background. Aperture is the size of the opening of the lens during the taking of the photo. i.e. a larger opening will blur the background more. A larger aperture will also allow a faster shutter speed for given light conditions. Hence, the lack of burring of some badminton players that you see in photos. Different lenses have different maximum apertures because of trade offs in the size: - larger apertures increase the size of a lens for a given focal length - zoom lenses increase the size of a lens - zoom lenses with large apertures = very large increase in size and weight (and therefore expense) of a lens.
