Ooooooo "Maling, maling..." Sorry if that sometimes come out again... In the minds of 240+ million Indonesians, those chants are like stating facts, not abusive chants... Well, you know lah why INA citizens start to perceive Malaysia that way...

But for the most part, I heard:
Garuda di Dadaku, that had: "Garuda di dadaku, garuda kebangaanku..."
Satu Nusa, Satu Bangsa, that had "Satu nusa, satu bangsa, satu bahasa kita..."
Indonesia Pusaka, that had: "Indonesia tanah air beta, pusaka abadi nan jaya..."
Bendera, that had: "Merah putih teruslah kau berkibar, di ujung tiang tertinggi di Indonesiaku ini..."

JAKARTA - Singapore's Fu Mingtian has moved into the women's badminton singles semi-final after beating Malaysian Lydia Cheah 23-21, 21-14 on Thursday.

By making the last four, she is guaranteed a medal at this South-east Asian Games.

She faces Thai Intanon Ratchanok in Friday's semi-final.

Compatriot Derek Wong will face defending champion and local favourite Simon Santosa in the men's semi-final at the Istora Senayan Stadium.

(Derek did well to upset Vietnam's star player Nguyen Tien Minh 21-14, 21-15. And our women's doubles pair of Yao Lei/Shinta Mulia Sari defeated their Thai opponents Sapsiree Taerattan/Savitree Amitrapai 21-17, 21-18. Well done and Good Luck.)

JAKARTA - Derek Wong clinched a stunning upset win against second seed Nguyen Minh Tien on Thursday.

Wong beat the Vietnamese 21-14, 21-15 to advance to the men's badminton semi-finals.

The Singaporean is guaranteed a South-east Asian Games medal by making the last four.

The last time a local man won a medal in the singles was Kendrick Lee who finished second in the 2007 Korat Games.

Mohd Rijal & Ahmad Tontowi picked up a Gold Medal despite having played 0 match in the team event. Also, seems like no Taufik Hidayat on the podium. He decided to give his medal to Rijal perhaps?

    MS FINAL
Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk [4] vs Simon Santoso [3] - Tanongsak beat Taufik twice in the space of 1 week. Simon should win this one but he needs to be careful.

    WS FINAL
    Adriyanti Firdasari
vs Fu Mingtian [4] - I think Firda has the ability to beat the Singaporean. She usually reserves her best performance in front of the home crowd!

    MD FINAL
    Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan
[1] vs Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan [2] - the second meeting between these 2 pairs this year. Bona/Ahsan are the more in-form pair and they need to win this Gold Medal to confirm their status as the no 1 MD pair in INA now.

    WD FINAL
    Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Anneke Feinya Agustine
[4] vs Vita Marissa/Nadya Melati [2] - Nitya/Feinya to emerge as the winner!

    XD FINAL
    Ahmad Tontowi/Liliyana Natsir
[1] vs Sudket Prapakamol/Saralee Thoungthongkam [2] - nothing less than a Gold Medal will suffice for Towi/Butet.

When I saw the medal ceremony on TV, I was wondering that too. Where is Taufik? And why Christian Hadinata and Maria Fransisca(team manager) receiving the medals ?

Then the big question will be, who will receive the Rp200 million? The government promised to give Rp 200 million EACH team members for every gold winners. Reserve players should get it too.

Almost as expected for Men Team, XD, MD, WD, Women Team.

WS is rather unexpected, although I did revise that going by the close matches in team event, should be a close fight too.

    MS is the wrong prediction.

    Wow!!!
So our lady Fu Mingtian has proven her worth and stopped INA from making a clean sweep of the individual gold medals. And in front of a partisan crowd too!

She has exceeded all expectations and taken revenge for compatriot Gu Juan. What a victory! Singapore also can!

oh so this is the reason why she lost the match to FMT. without the injury, Frida would have beaten FMT and won the gold medal?

Frida did not show any sign of injury during her finals match as she traded exchanges with FMT. Remember many of our athletes came down with food poisoning, yet a number of them went on to win gold medals. Furthermore I read that FMT has a higher WR but of course this did not help much against a very, very strong noise support that Firda received from INA fans. So it is to FMT 's credit that she overcame both the noise and Firda's skills.

wow who's got eyes that can see her internal bleeding of the stomach? who's the official or team doctor who authorised her to play, they should be removed for asking her to play instead of staying in hospital.

Ya, but the crowd did not give FMT and Singapore a chance to celebrate.

I read that they booed FMT and sang the INA anthem when the SIN anthem "Majulah Singapura" was played.

This is a show of very bad sportsmanship from the host country!
