Organising Car related events has always been a Hobby and nothing more. We have two for March: http://www.gtccoz.com/events/20110206_MemorialCruise_NaderRIP_Flyer.jpg and http://www.gtccoz.com/events/20110319_Annual_Dyno_Day_Flyer.jpg
Thanks Chris, only by invitation and the club decision is by consensus (committee members) rather than just me to ensure all members happy.
Welcoming samlai to BadmintonCentral !!! . Thanks for your reply Sam. It's been a long time since I've caught up with you. Perhaps it has been about 10 years now; when you first arrived in Melbourne, playing at MSAC. BTW, welcome to BadmintonCentral. .
Glad u still remember me . How can I forget you, when I copied some of your Footwork in action? BTW, I have not seen Tanya-M (who introduced you to me) for a long, long time either. Anyway, I hope to catch up with you one day. .
Other states would be great. Probably a separate page for each state--there's not much point having Adelaide and Melbourne on the same page.
Yes will do. It will have a submenu to choose your state. Maybe store a cookie to keep track of which state you have chosen so it doesn't ask you again.
Ok you can now add the other States. It gets categorised by the Venue which has a Address - State field. e.g. So when you create a Session and pick a Venue in Sydney it will categorise the Session in Sydney. Very little testing has been done so email me if any issues
On the page http://badminton.gtccoz.com/MaintainSessions.aspx you might want to delete the text "(Victoria, Australia only for now)" I'll start telling people to add sessions...
Groups refusing BCers to play with them; These groups should not be included . And since we are at BadmintonCentral, I should think that some groups refusing BCers to play with them; these groups should not be included. .
Anyone know if Alan session (Citylife Thursday night 8 - 10:30 ) still running ? and do they welcome new player or not? i try contacting alan but not reply.
Hey, there's also a small group that plays Wednesday nights, run by Alan and Sue Melbourne. It's in Essendon, from 8:30 to 10:00. Cost is $10. It's in a Church Hall / Gym near the corner of Buckley and Mt Alexander Rd. Enter carpark, and it's the building to the left of the outdoor tennis courts. Three courts, amount of players vary usually from 4-12. Generally if you're a B or C-Grade club player you should be able to get a few matches at that level, but generally it's just a very low key get-together. Low ceiling, average courts, but a good resource for the area on a night where usually you can't play anywhere else nearby.
I would disagree. b33fy's resource is separate to BC. Some groups may refuse players as the standards are too disparate. I think that is reasonable. Even i have had a request declined in HK I think it's no problem.
