BG80 is a nice sting but i think BG85 is better in terms of control and repulsion power.
Most people feel that BG80's repulsion power is excellent but when i tried both i tend to feel that BG85's repulsion is better than BG80.

Thanks Max - I'll give the 80 a try at 21 lbs and order some 85. I don't mind the expense of experimenting some (within reason) to get a comfortable combo as I get back in shape.

i found this was caused by not letting the strings settle, if i used it freshly strung straight away in a game i found as u say it would break very very quicky, but if i used it for knock-up a couple of times before i played with it i found it lasts about 2-3months

NBG95 at 28lbs on AT700, lasted me about two months.. which was only about six sessions because I had exams and all that..

Planning to get it restrung with Micropower XL at 30lbs.

Bg80 at 26lbs lasts me about 2 months, and i play about 7 and a half hours a week. But i tend to switch between all my rackets.

I play about 8 hours a week at a competitive level, my rackets are strung at 25x27.5 and I use BG80.
I'm a hardhitter aswell so my strings tend to break this often due to the large and repeted stress I put them through. :D

My strings usually last me about a month. I use BG-80 at 25lbs. However, a month is not of consecutive use, I rotate between different rackets. If I were to only use one racket, then I would guess that my strings would last about 2-3 weeks.

I had BG68TI on my Arc Saber 7. They broke within a month. I'm pretty sure the cold was a factor... I'm trying out BG65s since I heard they last a long time

You mean like a hybrid tennis string job? If you were going to do it, I think BG-66 on the main would be best (most similar to tennis hybrid stringing) because it is less durable that BG-80. For tennis, you tend to use natural gut on the main and then a synthetic string on the crosses. I'm sure somebody tried hybrid stringing on a badminton racket. If I remember rightly, it didn't go well but if you want to give it a go, why not?
