BG80 is a nice sting but i think BG85 is better in terms of control and repulsion power. Most people feel that BG80's repulsion power is excellent but when i tried both i tend to feel that BG85's repulsion is better than BG80.
Thanks Max - I'll give the 80 a try at 21 lbs and order some 85. I don't mind the expense of experimenting some (within reason) to get a comfortable combo as I get back in shape.
i found this was caused by not letting the strings settle, if i used it freshly strung straight away in a game i found as u say it would break very very quicky, but if i used it for knock-up a couple of times before i played with it i found it lasts about 2-3months
I have not been playing badminton for quite a while ...... started 1 month ago and i went intensive as in friday sat sun and mon ..... 3 hrs each or more ..... Today i went for a 5hrs marathon and my BG 85 broke .... i did not remember what tension it was on but i know it is Hard ..... Any suggestion for my next string...... anyway i am going to tie it at 26 lbs but just dunno wat string to use .... I am a 60 power 40 tec .... thanks a lot ....
NBG95 at 28lbs on AT700, lasted me about two months.. which was only about six sessions because I had exams and all that.. Planning to get it restrung with Micropower XL at 30lbs.
Whaaaoooo ....My BG85 last me 1 Month ...... i broke it today ...I am going to use BG80 this time round ......
Bg80 at 26lbs lasts me about 2 months, and i play about 7 and a half hours a week. But i tend to switch between all my rackets.
4 me ..... i only recently got my second racket ... so previously only use 1 racket .... And i play about 14 to 16 hours per week since i am free for the time begin .....
2-4 weeks I play about 8 hours a week at a competitive level, my rackets are strung at 25x27.5 and I use BG80. I'm a hardhitter aswell so my strings tend to break this often due to the large and repeted stress I put them through.
My strings usually last me about a month. I use BG-80 at 25lbs. However, a month is not of consecutive use, I rotate between different rackets. If I were to only use one racket, then I would guess that my strings would last about 2-3 weeks.
My Babolat Challenger string (Factory strung) Is still good, 3 months now, on my babolat racket, but it is now only a spare. With my BG80 at 23lbs on my At700 its still going strong at a mind bobbling 1 week
heloo everyone.. anyone can choose me the suitable string for me?? i'm hard smasher, fast and powerful player.. i gotta mad cause i have change string 3 times in one months.. i use Bg66, i already try Nanogy 95 but i lost the power and feel. (the tension at 30lbs with type offensive rac)
I had BG68TI on my Arc Saber 7. They broke within a month. I'm pretty sure the cold was a factor... I'm trying out BG65s since I heard they last a long time
You mean like a hybrid tennis string job? If you were going to do it, I think BG-66 on the main would be best (most similar to tennis hybrid stringing) because it is less durable that BG-80. For tennis, you tend to use natural gut on the main and then a synthetic string on the crosses. I'm sure somebody tried hybrid stringing on a badminton racket. If I remember rightly, it didn't go well but if you want to give it a go, why not?
thx 4 ur comment as i wana noe if ppl hab try it,n how dey feel abut the string. i dun wana juz string it tat way becoz i'm scared tat it will turn out to be a disaster as i'm not the type where if i dun lyk the strin i'll juz cut it after a few session....it cost alot
