And TH shines in 'real' event, he got 1998 Brunei Open title after defeated CHN elite player at that time Dong Jiong. I think his natural and amazing talent is obviously appear when he was still in young age. TH is also becoming the youngest All England finalist in history...

Sandy, how about the details of Vancouver 2004?

Most of these people I've never even heard of their name. Did they never went pro or they did but weren't cut out for it?

It's funny how Taufik isn't in there. But the guy turn pro at the age of 16 and won his first major tournament at 18 so there's no need to join the junior.

yeah, why compete in the juniors when you can win at the senior level?

Maria Febe [INA] will do pretty well in the 2007 edition of World Junior Championship... I predict at least a semifinal appearance...

She already could reach the quarterfinals of Vietnam Challenge and stretched Cheng Shao Chieh to rubber sets in this year's Indonesian Open round of 32. Cheng then defeated Xie Xinfang in straight sets in the round of 16, the next day...

I agree. Like Maria Sharapova who won Wimbledon at 17. Uhm, can you tell this to Sania Nehwal so she won't compete in this year's World Junior Championship. ;) That way, Maria Febe will have a good chance to win it all and be the 2nd Indonesian WS to win at the World Juniors.... :D

She has beaten some more experience players in this year like Jun Jae Yun, Salakjit Ponsana and Pelatnas player Fransiska Ratnasari.
I was curious how she beat these players, 1st time I saw her on Jakarta Open. She had great offensive high serve, the shuttle falled very closed on the line, forced the opponent need a time to take the ball or not. But She has trouble when against teammate who known her weakness.

That's true! :p Ok, then, might as well ask all of them to play at the World Junior Championship, just for us fans to know who the real best under-19 WS singles is today... ;) Just for the sake of our curiosity... :p

sure, i'll get on the phone to her right now ...

anyways, i'm sure we all want all the best juniors to be there, otherwise the title will be meaningless.

    Hahaha,

Oh, by the way, Maria Febe [my favorite INA Jr.] is ranked #4 in Indonesia now. I just found this out in http://www.pb-pbsi.net/rankTpi.asp?PId=1

    1. Maria Kristin [Djarum]
    2. Firdasari [Jaya Raya]
    3. Pia Zebadiah [Jaya Raya]
    4. Maria Febe [Djarum]
    5. Maria Elfira [Djarum]
    6. Fransisca Ratnasari [Jaya Raya]
    7. Rosaria Pungkasari [Djarum]
    8. Aprillia Yuswandari [Semen Gresik]
    9. Sylvinna Kurniawan [Djarum]
    10. Atu Rosalina [Mutiara]
Note: full of Jaya Raya and Djarum girls, huh?!?

While the top Indonesian Juniors [Under 19] are:
    3. Pia [Jaya Raya]
    4. Maria Febe [Djarum]
    14. Lindaweni Fanetri [Ragunan]
    16. Febby Angguni [Djarum]
    18. Tike Arieda Ningrum [Djarum]
    19. Alfa Vivianita [Djarum]
    21. Niken Yulia Wicaksana [Djarum]
    24. Jenna Gozali [Djarum]
    28. Febrina Rahma Saputri [Jaya Raya]
    30. Ana Rovita [Djarum]

For the Asian and World Juniors, usually they allocate the top 3 or top 4 INA Juniors... If so, then Pia, Febe, Lindaweni, and Febby shall represent INA in the up and coming Asian Juniors. ;)

Bring on Sania Nehwal, Lydia Cheah, Xing Aiying, etc.!!! ;) We want to know how much we have improved! Preview of Uber Cup 2010 and 2012...

    INA MS Jr....

Here's what I gather from the INA MS ranking in http://www.pb-pbsi.net/RankTpa.asp?PId=1 ...the top Under-19 INA MS are...

    11. Nugroho Andi Saputro [Djarum]
    15. Bandar Sigit Pamungkas [Djarum]
    21. Nandang Arif [Tangkas]
    28. Yosis Siswanto [Lippo]
    29. Aditya Arifin [Jaya Raya]
    30. Ade Riyadi [Djarum]
    33. Senatria [SGS]

If PBSI uses ranking to choose who shall represent INA at the Asian Juniors, then Nugroho, Bandar, Nandang, and Yosis should go. :)

Ha ha ha... By the way, Maria Febe lost to Yip Pui Yin yesterday on the second day of Djarum Superliga Badminton in Jakarta... YPY was too tough for Febe at this moment...

That's true... I didn't pray at all. I was too focused ...at observing the Indonesian Superliga Badminton audience... Sample:
