I discovered the MX80 at the Victor Finnland website as 3U/G3 version. :) But it costs 225€ include taxes and shipping.:crying:For this money I can get a BS 10 and a SW 35 and a role shuttlecocks. Why does Victor Germany not release it? G2 is too small for me, because I want to keep it head heavy.

A shop at Mong Kok called Kin Yee is the authorised victor distributor

The Kin Yee shop is near the south west corner of Argyle St/Fa Yuen St. Diagonally opposite the Racketshop (Loong Sing I think is the cantonese name) / 7 Eleven.

It's quite a small shop tucked in the corner, but they have got quite a good selection of Victor Rackets and Yonex's - the price for Yonex's are probably the cheapest for non-regular customers in the Mongkok area IMO.

Quite likely, when I got some rackets from them around 3yrs ago, they still had the Emmy invoices/receipts. However, I think they started using their own last year.

Glad to know i'm not the only 1 who finds the string tension being extra stiffer on MX80....meaning i gotta lower my tension for my next string, else couldnt really get my ideal power out of it

Different rackets will have a different optimum tension for any player even with the same string. Many factors affect the feel of the string including shaft and frame stiffness, shape, etc. IOW, expect to play around with the string tensions whenever you switch to a new racket and the previous tension is only a guideline.

a bit off topic, but i think one of the reason the 96 hole system feels so stiff is because there are 2 more main strings and 3 more cross string trying to fit into the same size string bed. the result is that the string density is higher and thus the aggregate stiffness. and has less to do with the fact that there are more non-shared holes.

Does that mean that if you strung that up with zm62, you'll need to lower the tension to get the same feel?
If so, then that should extend the life of the string, or any string for that matter.

I have a Winex Kevlar Nano Power 155 with 96 holes grommet (Made In Taiwan)
which is very similar to Forza Kevlar 250 or Forza Ti-555 Carbon Nano Tube
I strung it with with YY BG66 Ultimax in low tension
    main / cross = 24 / 25 lbs but it feels very tight almost like 28 / 30 lbs !!!

Yeah of course that's the reason. When you hit the shuttle you're engaging more strings, so it feels strung at a higher tension than it really is because the shuttle has to 'deform' more strings. With the Forza I'd recommend -3lbs from your standard tension, which seems like a lot but it isn't.

I'm probably going to go 1lb less with the MX80 which should be about right.

    nope! believe it or not
    it's 3U!
but I think it's the light one
because 3U range from 85 up to 89.9 grms
while 4U range from 80 up to 84.9 grms
I think it about 85 grms unstrung and before adding overgrip

When will Victor X80 be available in Malaysia

After such a good review, time to checkout the availability in Malaysia. So far not available yet in Malaysia:crying:...! Is this true or only not available in Johor? . Try checking with Chris of Singapore on the price, but he would not want to reveal unless I go there personally:mad:.
