She has a rather slender frame so you can't really expect her to be that muscular up top. She and WYH have the infamous "chicken wing" arms. I would term her build as "wiry".

So you're implying that the equipment a player uses matters the most?

Then the SHB99[LTD], SHB99Low, SHB200WM MUST HAVE FAILED LCW back in AE2006 MSSF, OG2008 MSF (and pretty much most occasions) and AE2009 MSF respectively, ALL OCCASIONS against LD :p

LCW was just that more prepared and ready to win the AE2011 encounter, 'nuff said.

Of course, it's all about the shoes :D Even Marc managed to win a game against LD, reaching the SF - the 92MX are miracle shoes!^^

You'll find that people with wiry builds are generally quite strong. So in fact the "chicken wing" arms act as a decoy, lulling the opponent into a false sense of security. :D

Yep. Another example of "chicken wing" well almost... !! :D There's some flesh on the specimen, but I don't think it's very tender... :p

    Of course

But as LCW fans or badminton fans in general, we should never under-credit his hard effort in training and building the mentality to match LD while over-crediting the Yonex marketing that he bears :p

Yeah, I was surprised when they showed some of his smashes' speed - couldn't believe he generated 250+ with his slim build! I mean he IS strong, but nearly all other ppl who smash as hard as that are at least a bit more muscular. He seems to generate much power from his body in a jump smash :)

I was sitting opposite to the screen that displayed the speed of shuttle measured by the speedgun in the NIA. One of his jump smashes against LD in the final was 280+ km/h. And he had consistently clocked 260+km/h with his cross court or angle smashes during that match. Do not get fooled by his build as you can see that he has only muscle but almost no fat on him.

It will be cool to find out how much fat he has in his body. My guess is probably lower that 5% of total weight. FYI, Cristiano Ronaldo has a body fat of 7%.
