Maybe Chan/Lim can beat Kido/Setiawan, but I have a feeling Kido/Setiawan might scrape through. Yes, this is a great chance to gauge where they stand though. Maybe they lose to Chen/Lin again, although I don't really think so. Best we can hope for is give fight to Jung/Lee at semis, but a more realistic target is QF for now.
That is the cruel facts....as the pairs they might be facing in Macau Open will still be around for few years and Mak/Tan have to start to learn how to beat them now or later...or else they cannot expect to be lucky in all the draws... even in next tournament, they might meet any seeded pairs also... Goh/Teo face another tough hurdle in Fang/Lee, winner of Singapore and Indonesia Open... while CPS/LKW is a bit lucky to face qualifier....
2nd round. I think can. Not really their homeground, their homeground will be in Chinese Taipei Open. I will pick Mak/Tan to beat Chen/Lin if they can play like the early rounds of the MAS GP before SF.
Yes, just like some of the japanese young pair had actually beat koo/tan several times before already.. Pls enlighten me if i'm wrong.. Mak/Tan need to beat MORE big shots
How come you are so sure of Chen/Lin's strength? First, they lost to Choong/Lee in 1st round of AE! Then, they lost to Gan/Tan in SO, IO also lost in 1st round to Clark/Robertson, so I think they are just an above average pair. Mak/Tan was not as good in the BAC, so I think this time, Mak/Tan should turn the tables on them. I will get a rough idea on their form against Sudket/Songphon, hope they don't lose in the first round though. Come to think of it, Clark/Robertson is actually quite a good pair though... hmm... As for Chan/Lim, I think Mak/Tan should have better chance to go to QF than them. Dunno how they fare against Kido/Setiawan?
Ah, yes, I agree with this. If Mak/Tan can beat them, I would say Mak/Tan is ready to enter Super Series tournaments. If lose, maybe they need more time.
Looks like Chen/Lin lost to Johannes/Ingo at the Canadian Open, a german pair...(rank 128) I hope their poor form continues, at least until Macau Open is over
Well well, it is time to see how Mak/TWK fares again Gan/Tan in the Kedah Open! This will be the real test to see how good they really are.
...... I think you know who or rather WHAT is the target. I have very high expectations on Mak/Tan one lah Now that CPS/LKW is out, I say Gan/Tan is the main threat to them, followed by HTH/TBH. So, if they beat Gan/Tan, then they might... (don't know to say it out first)
Crap draw in Chinese Taipei. I say Macau's is not very kind to them, but fairly reasonable if they play up to standard.
cool down, as I mentioned before, they have to start playing with the good MD pairs now to improve. win or lost is not important, get the experience. They cannot expect to get lucky draw everytime. The pairs they are facing are regular pairs in the scene....if they don't start now, how to play in Super Series?? Give them few tournament then judge...you will feel better...
for some of them: this can be part of the training (pressure) cope with it and they will do fine in bigger tournament can't cope with it, have to find out why or else back to the drawing board for the others: this is no more training this is serious business win and buy yourself a ticket for the next tournament
