Yeah I agree, a bit off topic, but yesterday, I noticed Boe of Denmark in AE 2009 SF, switches from Head Metallix to Yonex Arcsaber 10. He made so many critical errors that turn the tide in the 2nd set. His nervous system and muscles are so in tuned with the ex racquet that he lost touch with the Arcsaber 10. Fu and Cai, whom used the same racquets for years promptly dispatched Boe and Morgensen. Anyway Ants was right, the NS9.9K stiffness felt like between NS9K S & X, although rated as stiffer than type X. The racquet tied with strings felt a little head heavy but overall, it's actually very similar to NS9K type X.
I just had a chance to try out the new NS9900. I am ditching my old classy lady (Cab30ms) and going with NS9900. The one I have is a 3UG4 strung with BG80 at 22.5x25 lb. It feel even balanced with a little head light. My first shot, the NS9900 already talking to me. The clear is strong and far, smash is powerful and accurate. Back court drop is tight and just over the net. Control is just superb. Racquet is fast and can be turn and return smash and block with ease. I love the feed back from the NS9900. This might be the best badminton racquet YY made so far.
I'm not so sure he'll be trying it anytime soon. He seems intent on creating his own racket and also mainly using Apacs products.
Hi can I ask if I am happy with everything about NS9000S except that it feels a bit too headlight for my liking, will getting NS9900 address the problem? Thanks
It won't. But for the cosmetic redesign, the 9000X and the 9900 are the same racquet. (The S is, well, less stiff.) And like UHMG, NANO, CRAP, etc, there's a new set of such words
Bought a ns9900 at Pertama racquet world. RM700 with strings and grip. But changed it to bg66 sharp and yonex grip, so add rm40
Thanks Oldhand; think I have finally made up my mind to get AS10 and try if it suits me; reckon if things dont work out, still have my NS9000S to fall back on, heehee
Just to say I didn't like the Nanospeed 9900 when trying it out. My friend thought of buying it because he had a Nanospeed 9000 like you ^^ ^^ - and when he bought it he hated it So he fell back on his 9000's
That's my main fear; I am worried my level of skill may not allow me to wield this extra stiff weapon well and end up affecting my play and serously doubt that extra ummph from the "new technology" put into NS9900 is going to change my level of play drastically...heck, I play for recreation anyways! ....but I must say, I feel NS9900 looks way way better than NS9000 though... that's my personal opinion anyway
Hmmm Isn't their any other friend who you can borrow the NS9900 from to see if you like it? Some shops let you try them out? And that extra money is going to put you back a lot - and I guess the NS 9900 is just inbetween the 9000 s and 9000 x . Its your choice in the end of the day - I would say no , unless you try it and love it!
Haha, would love to get my hands on NS9900 for a trial...unfortunately dont think there is any shop in singapore that lets you try the racket... and certainly no 90-day money back guarantee... havent known personally anyone who owns the NS9900, and sort of getting some general opinions from this forum from people who have used it that's the closest I get, short of actually trying out personally!
Come to any of these places this week after 7.30pm... and I'll let you try it out. (Just about everyone I play with has already had a go.) Tuesday - Bedok CC Wednesday - MacPherson CC Thursday - Kembangan CC Friday - Hougang Sports Hall Saturday - Bedok View Sec Sch
me too. dont whether he can schedule either sunday or monday to have session with me in KL, so i may have try-out too.
Haha... it's no matter for envy. This is only when I'm not travelling. (Of course, the racquets go with me ) I didn't include Monday's session as it's over for this week And Sunday's session is not in the evening, but at noon.
