I hope ZZ will participate in Maybank IC in Kuching next month. At best, ZZ can only get experience in SS tourneys, which is not a bad thing but getting kick out early too often from tournaments isnt good either.

This boy Zulfadli is already an obsolete player. Viktor Axelsen is much better than him and has serious advantage in height and speed.

ZZ's win over Viktor Axelsen a year ago was simply a fluke and Viktor should never have allowed ZZ to win last year. If there was a rematch between the two players, Viktor would take the game in straight sets with ZZ not scoring more than 15 each set.

The best ZZ can do is concentrate on GP tournaments if he hopes to improve ranking and earn some prize money at the same time. Other than that, I don't see him breaking into the world top 20 in his career.

I dont think he shd be written off as a no hoper to break into the top 20 in his career. He is only 19. And you write him off after only one yr? I think its too premature to form such an opinion. If you go on this basis, probably lcw shdnt be a top player now

So what do you mean you wouldn't bet on that? The guy just said something realistic. ZZ should focus on GP 1st then only break into top 20. At the moment we have lots of good examples who is not in top 20

I was referring to his mention that he couldn't see ZZ breaking into the top 20 in his career. that i wouldn't bet on that.

Meaning i have a different view and i think he has a fair chance of breaking into the top 20 one day, be it playing in the gp or ss or both together. Guess my english is not good enough to translate what i mean.

    aiyo ..
people so quick to judge ....
yup i agree.... some player are exceptional like rudi hartono taufiq hidayat .. they achieved sucesss at early age ... but it only a few
but diffent people game mature at different rate ... the best example

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee_Chong_Wei

    c
urrent no 1 .. lee chong wei ... taste the sucess a bit later that taufiq hidayat
they are almost in the same age group ... lee chong wei ( 30 years) taufiq hidayat (31)
lee chong wei sucess only started at 2003 ( runner up malaysia open) ... at age of 22
and only capture the first open in 2004 .. that is at age of 23 years old
now at age 30 ..still winning SS...

so don't write him off yet ... just let observe his progress for 2-3 years..

Look's like he has achieved this target as he's now ranked no 63 and he's still ranked higher than Misbun Ramdan or Iskandar.

    ZZ is still doing OK

    .
In today's (Thursday 06-Dec-2012) BWF Ranking, ZZ dropped 4 ranking places (to 67th).

IMHO, ZZ is still doing OK.

It's only our Malaysian BCers who are wishing/hoping that he could do better ASAP. :):):)

    Watched him against Misbun Ramdan.

In my opinion he did not show any improvement since his junior days. In fact he can't really keep up with the speed of the senior players. He also had no weapons to actually end a rally. He had a few good smashes but he doesn't pull it out frequently enough for it to be considered as a weapon. I wonder what has he been doing for the past year?

there's something fundamentally wrong with his technique..where his legs movement doesn't flow along his arm swing
eventhough he still able to generate enough power with that style..he is losing out in speed to cover the front court
I really hope he would change that before it's too late (eventhough it takes time and will compromise his game for few months)
coz if not, we will have to watch him being humiliated by a super fast player like chen long :(

I can't comment on a player who didn't even make it to TV Court :p

Results wise... lost all matches in group stage, lost to Zul... well... really don't know what to say...

IMHO, ZZ needs to slim down. Currently, he is too heavy to move any faster.
