Fastest Player It's a pity that there are no devices that measure a badminton player's on-court swiftness or speed of reaction. If there were one at the Singapore Open, it would have imploded trying to track the streak of Malaysian lightning named Mohammed Razif. One of Mohammed Zakry's younger brothers, Mohammed Razif is blessed with lethal speed in addition to a cracker of a smash. China's Xie Zhongbo & Guo Zhengdong discovered this the hard way - by getting beaten time and again by the alternating bursts of speed and ferocity from the young Malaysian. Worse for China, when Razif was not attacking, he was defending tirelessly. To the hard-hitting Zhongbo and Zhengdong, it was as if Razif's racquet face was as wide as the court itself. Not that young Tan Wee Kiong didn't contribute anything - it was just that his quicksilver partner ruled the points. My vote for 'Fastest Player of the Singapore Open 2008' goes to Mohammed Razif Abdul Latif.
