(I think I should post here too)

    finally...
the two backhand experts met,, The Rising Star and The Legend :D

I can see she want the gold medal.. She's gave her best, fought hard and never give up till the last minute. Never die spirit..i like it!! below pic was the prove. (She already did it couple of times, fought hard till the very last score 29/30, once against WSX)

btw one thing i concern is why she never won against Sun Yu? (H2H 0-3 :() SY beaten her quite easily in straight sets @mixed team universiade. well SY is talented but still not on par with WYH/LXR. I hope TTY will find a way and win it next time.
    Good luck in WC :)

    27-29 applaud to both players

Tzu Ying first World Championship rounding off at a Quarter Final !!
Well Done Tzu Ying in this year World Championship despite having injury.
A very good fight she put against Li Xuexrui saving quite a few game points.

Look Forward for her next competition Indian League & a Speedy Recover..

    TTY commented after the match:
    盡情的享受比賽,是我追求的目標!
    球場是我的舞台,表演是我的責任!
    至於,結果如何~~將不是我能決定!
    我只能盡力去拼...再加油吧!

I believe she injured her left knee during the University Games and she did not train and rested for 2 weeks before the World Championship.

TAI TZU YING: THE NEXT BIG THING BY DEV S SUKUMAR

It was the match of the IBL thus far: a Chinese Taipei teenager taking on a gutsy and experienced champion on her home soil. In the event, even as Saina Nehwal emerged victorious after a bruising battle, Tai Tzu Ying would have stolen a few hearts. There is nobody quite like her in world badminton. Perhaps her approach to the game bears some similarity to Ratchanok Intanon, but then again, they are different players. Intanon is taller and wiry; much of her advantage in attack comes from the steep hits that she possesses. Tai Tzu Ying is just over 5 ft 4 in, perhaps the shortest top ten player in the world. That sort of height can be a disadvantage at the highest level, but the Chinese Taipei girl is blessed with many other skills that offset the disadvantage.

Take the match against Saina, for instance. After losing the first game, Tai regaled us with an exhibition of sheer skill and variety – she varied the pace, pinned Saina to the back court using high serves and precise tosses, and dragged the Indian back and forth across the court. Her net shots skimmed the tape.

Her delayed flicks kept Saina in a constant state of indecision, while her cross net shots were so stunningly executed that her opponent could only watch in desperation. What makes Tai special is her footwork – she seems to be early on every stroke, and that gives her time to delay it. With time, she will be a formidable player.

Tai’s coach at Banga Beats, Vimal Kumar, was all praise for her. “She has the right game to hassle Saina,” he said. “She has a lot of variety. Her only problem is that she uses too much of deception – she needs to control that. She proved that a good high serve can put an opponent under pressure. She even has a backhand flick serve. You have to develop variety to survive crises during matches. I have great hope in her.”

In less than 1 hour time TTY will be on court soon for her defending her title in Taiwan Open.
Not a easy route for her as she is having a injury and tough opponent ahead with head to head 1-1 against Belaetrix Manuputi of Indonesia.

    Go Go Taiphoon .

It is clearly seen that Tzu Ying Knee is still injury as she play with a knee guard to protect her knee.
Hope she can pull this competition and win the title back again ! 1185166_10151843856805250_584533947_n.jpg

Proud of her playing with injury in front of her home crowd and make so far to the final.
