The Cab20 is an oval racket. All Panda Power Rackets to date are isometric.

    Isos play differently than ovals.

Most people say, and this Panda will mostly agree, ovals in general have a more solid feel when you hit the sweet spot. But the sweet spot is smaller. Isos have a bigger sweet spot but may not be as solid.

The closest thing in feel to a Cab 20 in the Panda Power line will be the Precision Pro or soon to be released Revelation.

Noted on the solid "feel" of oval heads ... thks for reply. No wonder, I get a "high" when playing with Cab20 and never found an iso that gave a similar ooommmppphhh !! :D

BTW, is the dcbadminton.net website information current ? I cannot find any info on PPPro.

Will the "next batch" of PPPro also come in clear-coat like what we see here for the Revelation ? Any pix since it is not woven like Revelation ?

The latest generation of isometric rackets give similar feel.

    Website: is not up-to-date.

As stated before, all Panda Power rackets will come with some kind of protective clear coat going forward.

    No other images for now.

I was looking for alternatives to Cab20 when I got my PPro's. They play different - not bad - just different. Note that my upgrade path is: Cab20 > AT800D > PPro (so I had a few years using isometric & used to it). I also use all rackets alternatively instead of sticking to one all the time - though my go-to racket is the PPro now.

    My PPro specs:
    1) 88g, BP295-296
    2) 88.5g, BP297

    Feel:
#1 is very close to Cab20 in terms of feel, just a wee bit head heavier. I'm guessing an 88g, BP294 is Panda's Cab20 (3U G4). This is now my main weapon for doubles.

#2 feels like MP99 but swings better. This is my singles racquet.

I have to remind you all that "feel" is very subjective ;). Another subjective subject is of course, swing.

    Swing:
Both Pandas hit like a Optimus Prime. I regularly see :eek::eek: (double partner plus both opponents) when I smash. Control shots (net, drops, tricks) are very good. Compared to Cab20, PPro loses ONLY when the shot is perfectly executed on Cab20 (that addictive POP on smash or SWISH on slice). On imperfect shots, PPro (or more accurately its isometric head shape) wins.

If you're not used to iso, start :p - one day there won't be any ovals :crying:. BTW, an iso that smashes like oval is Z Slash which my ex have (& I borrowed semi permanently). Not so good at control shots though.

Like many have said here - the PPro is an excellent racquet. It's a "from player, to player" racquet & I'm interested to see how far Mr. Panda takes it (especially considering Yonex doesn't really bring anything groundbreaking in the last 20 years).

PS: Mr. Panda - feel free to message me if you need help with updating the website (IT guy here).

Yup, the shop that I bought also told me that they will no longer be re-ordering/re-stock Cab20 anymore once they have sold out the last 3 ....

I guess I better hop over and BUY ALL THE 3 CAB20 NOW !! :D

Boss, what would the typical specification of this Revelation ?

I got a lot email asking how much the price in Malaysia ....
So I asked them to refer to this thread, and surprisingly many of them are in this thread already ...
It seems they may think price would be lowered in Malaysia ... hehez

OK folks in Malaysia and Indonesia, I need to know the typical range of specification before bring this new darling into Malaysia/Indonesia ...
so let have a patience first and wait for Dink to clarify it, once get the range, then lets the ball rolling ...

PPro after 40 hours of active duty - zero clash - only touches the mat when picking up shuttles :p.
I actually like it so won't put make up (sharpie) on it. Strangely enough it only happens to 1 side .

    ppro.jpg

    For the Revelation, I'd like:
    87.0g, BP294
    87.5g, BP295

When can I put order through aus distributor :D?

The Revelation world-wide set selling price is $165.00 USD for the racket.

If Distributors want to offer incentives such as free stringing or string and/or shipping, that's up to them.

    As for in the U.S.:

Promotional price will be $165.00 strung with string, shipped.
Uncertain how long the promotional price will last but should be for at least a couple of months.

Thereafter, it will be $165.00 for the racket alone.

Mark A. showed us his 2 Revelation PT yesterday, where are the results of last night testing??? :crying: What are the 2 PT specs, and what are the strings?? We are all anxious to see your evaluation. How do you compare both PT versions, with the different shafts??? How do they compare against the PPro's???
Please let us know. Thanks Mark A. :p

Are these PTs or are they RCs?
I was under the impression that prototyping had been completed...

Only Mark could tell, but Dink asked us on prefferred specs, and I was under the impression that he still had to decide about woven or regular shaft....

My first session with those Revs is tomorrow, but I might not be allowed to publish findings:).

However, the specs are in the headlight-balanced region @ light 3U, with Zymax 62 (mk 1) @27/28.

The Revelation seems very temping so far from the pictures of the frame, especially the long long wait since the announcement of the racket ;p

Guess its time to break the bank again since most of panda's products have been superb one after the other
