I just use black conduction tape. I usually put two to three layers of it to try to make my racquets head-heavy. Oh.. and I also do that to hide all the paint-chips on the frame :D

Not scratching your precious badminton racquet........is it really important? Come on man, just enjoy the game. It sounds silly to me to go to the extent of taping the racquet. For goodness sake ,it's just a piece of equipment for you to utilise. I don't have any objection on taking care of not breaking or denting it. If you are going to that kind of extent, you are missing the whole picture.

How are we 'missing the whole picture' just by taping the racquet frame..
For some people like me, they're not 'just a piece of equipment'. So, different story. :p

Well, to each it's own. I'll rather focus on the game. I got nothing more to comment on this. If my comments sounds offensive to you, I apologize. Cheers.

I did that..using the electric cable tape.Applied 2 layers..n gained about 1-2cm balance to heavier head. The poor thing is,the stickers on the racket is chipped, once i pull it off for restring.Guess i must pull it off slowly next time.

I taped the frame with the useless Yonex finishing tape which comes with every YY grip I buy. My AT700 is like a table-tennis racquet now o_O

i noticed on my racket that after a while when i pick up the shuttlecock with my racket the paint wears out or chips. Does anybody also have that problem? I think it is the way how i pick up the shuttlecock.

    brands???

what brand of eletrical cable did u guys use?

i tried unibell, dun have written origin though
guessed should be locally made in indo

it wasn't good, the glue can't realli hold
and it left a considerable amount of glue
    when you took it away

just changed to 3M Scotch Super 33+ Electrical Tape, seems better
the price is (RP13,000) for 66ft long 150% more exp than unibell
    hope it won't disappointing

branded ones like yonex and mizuno is way too exp
yonex is 800 yen for 5m long

you can try babolat brand, but adding some tape will screw the balance point of your racket, and makes your arm tired easier

Does the brand matters so much??I don't think so..as long as it works as it was meant to be..i mean, protecting our babies from scratching..n maybe add some lil weight on the head..

nope, the brand doesnt realli matter, but quality does.
i found that 3M is better than that local unibell brand in terms of stickiness.
however i dun feel significant weight in the head with just 1 layer.
the important thing is that it does protect the head from the way we are picking up our feather with the racket.
i do hope that i also can protect the head when rackets clash in double play.

sifuyono, i thought u already tried the babolat tape.
but i'll stick to 3M and also reccomend it since branded n specifically made tape for racket head protection arent widely available for us imo.
