And left : "hold" and right : "repulsion"

So can I make the case that it's a NS9900 replacement?

If it was that powerful then why wasn't LCW using it at the recent World Champs? And why didn't Tan smash through every opponent? I suspect there's a play on the figures here. And I was hoping for great things with this racket.

What I found strange was that only Koo and Tan were using it. Mind you, who else have Yonex got these days?:)

I take these tests with a grain of salt, to be honest - there's a difference between smashing in competition and what my coach calls "feeding a donkey strawberries".

Simply because "powerful" is just one of many many other factors :)

If it was they probably would have removed NS9900 by now ;), although the colourway would certainly lead you to believe it. The stiffness rating is "stiff" as could be read on the leaked TW advert/catalogue listing two pages back or so ...

Here is the JP stiffness "feel" indicator from the site:

    vs NS9900

Personally I really can't see this as a NS9900 replacement (but I have seen no, credible, mention at all of NR900 so far)

The NS9900 bp is around ~290mm and so is the NR800, 700(RP), 750 apparently :D (or very close to, in the 285-290 range) so the positioning doesn't necessarily reflect the gap in reality (probably more like swingweight now)

Well, my deposit's gone in - if I could have placed the NR-ZS's marker on that matrix I couldn't have done it better:D.

I believe when u change racquect it takes sometime to get use to it...n lcw dont wanna jeopordize his chances...as for kkk/tbh...i realised they hit the frames way too much...showing how they are not customed to the racquect yet

especially with the swing speed and aerodynamic properties.. this is why the Z-slash had a timing issue.. and this Z-speed is definitely going to have the same problem..

I can see this being a difficult racquet too. Come September I'm half expecting to see a wave of Z speeds crashing into the Buy/Sell section :p

the top half of the frame looks like it has tiger prints on it, very cool.

bottom half of the frame to the t-joint looks like old school racket design like that of aerotus/carbonex.

and finally of course the z graphics on the shaft which is necessary.

overall, i love it cos it's bright orange...i don't know why, i love flashy rackets. :p

Those "tiger prints" are the markings for the "horizontal A spec" design at those grommet holes.

Or Yonex had the tiger stripes there already and fudged a tech to make them look useful;).
