Tournament Software still not reflecting the Final play schedule yet. Ko SH is in 2 finals against (for consecutive week). Frankly, I think Ko plays better after (more) warming up. In last week Final, the MD was played first, then XD. Lee YD is a very good calming factor for Ko, and Ko went on to win 2 titles. I believe it is to Ko advantage if MD is played 1st in this India 2013, and if Ko wins the MD, then there is a high probability for Ko to take the XD as well.
The WS game is really shaping up to be very interesting and unpredictable. I think at this point, with so many up and coming young (15 - 18 years old) WS talent creating "upsets" (India, Korea, Japan, Thai and China) in recent tournaments, I cannot confidently name the top 10 WS players when 2016 Olympic game in Brazil (Rio) arrives. I believe Sindhu, Inthanon & TTY "should be there in top 10", but again no guaranteer. Even WYH, LXR & WSX may get ousted from top 10 come 2016. This also include MAS Sonia Cheah. That is the beauty of this WS game now.

Anyone knows what happened to Sony? And, what about China coach Zhang Ning? Have not seen her since Olympics 2012 . . . I wonder is she pregnant?
The India Open SS has been around for a few years. In R32, the Tournament Software (TS) schedules were messy, and reports said most of the R32 players do not know "what time they are scheduled for play in R32". TS also seems to be very slow to update the following day schedule. With Thomas/Uber Cup 2014 due to be played in India, there is still much work for the India Badminton Association (BAI), and I believe the "eagle eye" player challenge will also be in-place comes 2014. Keep up the good work BAI, but more improvements are needed for the seek of both fans and players.
Sorry for the off topics discussions. Wow, congrats to ZN. Is it a boy or girl, and when the baby born? . . . . sorry, lazy to google search
TS still not updated with the Final Schedule. Anyone knows what time the Final is going to start? Will it be the same as yesterday 3pm, India time? The timing is important for both the players and fans to plan . . .
Finally, Finals starts in 6 hours time. XD will be played first. Lets see if Ko SH can repeat his double winning here like last week BAC.
You have to wonder if the connection to the internet is consistent with all the delays on the information being put up.
I haven't kept up properly with this tournament but it's very disappointing to see no home interest in any of the finals. I don't really view Saina's loss as a disaster (we all have our off days) but with all the threads about another "promising, up and coming talented Indian player deserving their own thread", I can't help but think Indian players are being over-rated well before their time.
Thanks for the interesting article. Zhang Ning pregnancy was really kept tight lip. it took me about 20 minutes to read the 5 pages article . . . Ha ha ha, now you know how "good" my mandarin are. From the article, I believe the baby girl born on 22nd Nov 2012. They celebrated her 1 month old birthday on 22nd Dec with the whole China badminton team.
the bold part is the best it seem in this post TTY and RI already in top ten along with MM(since 2012) anyway, PVS said her target is to reach top ten last year but cant make it.
If you did not accept the young players' improvement bluntly, then what is the point in discussing with you further. Whether you (BWF Chairman ????? )accept it or not, india is improving in badminton. So, even if you alive in this forum or world at the end of this year. I think there is no point in replying you.. Hee hee.
I feel a bit sorry for KSH, he's playing well and trying so hard... But it doesn't work when his partner plays like a nervous wreck...
