I got mine from shuttle-house a few weeks ago. I think they're better than other plastics that I've used, but I'd agree that they're still nowhere near as nice as feathers. The sound and the feel aren't as nice.. they definitely decelerate faster than other plastics I've used though.
Does this shuttle really offer enough improvement over the past iterations, such as the 350 and 500 to make it more viable? I question the use of plastic in producing synthetic shuttles. It seems like there would be some better material. At least the cork's real?...unlike the synthetic ones of HL shuttles that have screws in them... >.>
M2000 in UK? Our school/club is returning next week after the schoolkids' Easter holiday (two weeks of rust to shake off) and I'd like to fetch some 2000's to try out, as we're close to the end of our supply of 300's - anybody in the UK who can chuck me a tube or two? Please PM if so.
I have actually find out Mavis 2000 is more durable than either Mavis 350/300 I bought a tube of Mavis 2000 today, and played it for some time. In a 15 min playing around, skirts of Mavis 350/300 usually starting breaking, but Mavis 2000 just show no sign of breaking. So I think Mavis 2000 is actually better for just 2 bucks more than Mavis 350.
Looking forward to trying the 2000s been usimg the 370s on and off as well as feather anyone know cheapest in the the UK supplied.?
well, plastic is plastic and feather is feather.. unfortunately no matter how well the plastic is made to mimic feather it can never truly be feather :crying::crying::crying:
That may be true but its a case of economics for some people... Still anyone aware of a stockist in the UK?
I just had a chance to play the mavis 2000 in a fierce singles game last night. Played a young fellow in high school, gave me a good run for my money. Shuttle is good 7/10. Flight pattern is for clears and drives is spot on. Distance may be 3 inches farther than usual, but is negligible. The downsides are the same as we outlined before. Mostly a dull/rubbery feel on heavy shots, clears and smashes. Drops are definitely dull feeling, however these are workable and you adjust after a few points. Cant expect too much, but if I had to play plastic, and sometimes you do, the mav200 is the way to go.
