Yes, our choir enjoyed singing this Indonesian number not too long ago and our tenor section had a chance to go 'solo' for a small part. But now we are trying to sing the Filipino number "Paruparong Bukid" which describes a "butterfly" - a young lady with a beautiful and unusual dress that flutters about when she sways her hips. And the "West Side Story" by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. Very tough going! And this morning, before going to the office, I've been trying to learn to sing "You'll Never Walk Alone" by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. The notes say this song should be sung "with great warmth, like a hymn".
