It's not uncommon to see similar reportings from different press publication. The journalist could share the stories amongst them, or they could happen to be at the site at the same time. As long as the story is good, you are bound to see it here and there.

BAM to hand doubles coach Yong-sung a two-year contract
PETALING JAYA: South Korean coach Yoo Yong-sung will be given a two-year contract with a six-month probation period.
The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM), after an exco meeting yesterday, announced that the 37-year-old Yong-sung will start work next month.
He will be tasked with assisting Pang Cheh Chang in preparing top men’s doubles pair Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong for next year’s London Olympics.
“The Koreans have very good work ethics and we hope he will be able to instil this in our players,” said BAM deputy president Datuk Dr Al-Amin Majid.
“Yong-sung has real playing experience at the top level, having won two Olympic silver medals (2000 and 2004). We hope that he’ll be able to pass this on to Kien Keat-Boon Heong.
“But we’re also aware that his appointment may not necessary produce the desired results. That’s why he will be on a six-month probation period. There is also a clause allowing us to parts ways if the results are not up to mark,” added Al-Amin.
Meanwhile, the BAM have also decided to issue a warning letter to mixed doubles specialist Chan Peng Soon for walking out of his men’s doubles match during the National Circuit GP Finals last Wednesday.
Peng Soon and Ong Jian Guo were trailing 15-21, 23-21, 15-20 against Cheah Like Hou-Chow Pak Chuu in a group match when he decided to stage a walk out. He said he was unhappy with the numerous bad calls made by the linesman. Peng Soon later apologised for his actions
The walkout resulted in the pair being thrown out of the tournament and they had to forfeit their prize money.
“We will issue a warning letter to him. We hope that he will not repeat it again. A player has to learn to accept the umpire’s decision even if it goes against him,” said Al-Amin.

[h=2]Badminton: Yong Sung hired to assist Cheh Chang[/h] K.M. Boopathy

THE BA of Malaysia (BAM) has confirmed Yoo Yong Sung's appointment as the men's doubles assistant coach but the South Korean must impress the association during a six-month probation period to secure a long-term contract.
BAM deputy president Datuk Al Amin Majid, who chaired yesterday's executive committee meeting (Exco) in the absence of president Datuk Seri Nadzmi Salleh, said Yong Sung brings in the South Korean experience and the technical and tactical nuances that have made his country feared in men's doubles.

Yong Sung will be assistant to Pang Cheh Chang and his effort in turning around Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong will be crucial in determining if he survives his full tenure as the national coach for two years and an extension after that.

Yong Sung officially begins his duties on Nov 1.

"Yong Sung is one of their best players and brings with him the Korean experience and technical expertise which Kien Keat-Boon Heong and other players can tap into. We will offer him a two-year contract with a six-month probation that will determine his stay," said Al Amin.

"The South Koreans are known for their speed and power game and we want Kien Keat-Boon Heong to benefit from Yong Sung. He is only 37 and should be able work as a sparring coach.

"The coaches will discuss further on how to optimise him (Yong Sung) and his work in the next six months will be evaluated. That should determine his future here on a long-term basis.

"Meanwhile, Rosman Razak, who requested to join the junior squad, has also decided to stay with the national doubles squad as there will be four more junior pairs joining the senior ranks after the World Juniors next month."

BAM has also warned Chan Peng Soon, who partnered Ong Jian Guo, for walking out of the men's doubles group match against Cheah Like Hau-Chao Pak Chuu in the ongoing National Grand Prix Finals.

They were scratched from the tournament after the incident and also not eligible to receive the RM1,500 for qualifying for the event.

"As an international player Peng Soon must be able to accept an umpire's decision and cannot just walk out as he wishes. Since this is his first such offence, we have given him a warning letter," said Al Amin.

"Such actions affect the competition in group stage and doesn't reflect well on him."

BAM also announced the world junior squad where Zulfadli Zulkifli and boys' doubles Nelson Heg-Teo Ee Yi are the main hopes.

Juniors' coach Yap Kim Hock also surprised by scratching Low Juan Shen and Jagdish Singh. Juan Shen will be partnering Sant Enos Jani while Jagdish was dropped from the squad.

KKK/TBH couldn't even get past the 1st round of the 2011 Denmark SS tournament against an unseeded Korean pair.
It's the players not the coaches who are just not up to the mark.
Don't waste money on hiring more foreign coaches.
HTH/TWK did better to beat the 8th seeded Chinese pair of CB/GZD.

2011 Denmark SSP: KKK/TBH eliminated in Round 1

    .
    When I woke up to check the results, I was so surprised that KKK/TBH were eliminated in Round 1;

Cho Gun Woo/Kwon Yi Goo (KOR) defeated
Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong [5]
    15-21, 21-15, 21-12 in 44 minutes.

Game 3 was a shocker: Were KKK/TBH not fit enough, or were CGW/KYG just too good?

There will be another excuse.... New coach just took over, results mainly hangover from previous coach, need time to adjust to new coaching methods, etc.....
