    and your point is?

unfortunaly, so does CL and the chinese camp.

i know AE is no match to WC and OG in terms of pressure, but despite being LCW 5th finals in row (otoh, 1st for CL), CL could performed better. but let's see what will happen if they really meet in WC 2013 final.

Without LD, whoever win WC13 will be discredited by the fact that LD was absent.. not by being defeated in the competition by anyone, but being denied by the rules...

    poor WC13 winner...

No need to worry about :). Whoever wins it, they are the true champions :).No doubt in that at all...:) So, just by saying something to favour their idol does not do anything to the World champions of 2013 ;):). They are just die hard fans of LinDan to open a thread like this and lit fire ..

    Oww, that's a secret ...
The problem is, in OG '96 all best players participated.
In WC '13, not all participated and that is LD.

Paul's case like JXP in OG '00 & TH in OG '04 even ABK in OG '92.
WC '13 is another different case ...

Yes, I agree it is LCW's best chance to grab the gold medal, at least: the extremely good chance.

BWF is helping CW by denying LD a wild card

BWF is helping CW by denying LD a wild card... at least looks like... :D

Particularly CW said this may be his last WC... he deserve to have one, by all means...

from the media coverage, it is pretty much the case that LD won't play in the WC this year.

heck he is not even playing in the Sudirman Cup, citing injury and yadda yadda excuses that i am sure they just read off from a list.

I believe that China already looked over Lin Dan by now and their focus is on the 2014 TH/UB cups and 2016 Olympics. In another word, LD is out of the pictures already but he will have a proper exit since he has done so much for the country.

I watched the recent Australian open at Sydney and heard some news from the inner circle of Chinese badminton that Lin Dan got the 'approval' to retire after the super performance of the two Chinese youngsters (XS and THW) shown in the tournament.

Yeah. Fast forward to 2014 Thomas Cup. Who would you put at third singles? He's a banker player at third singles.

It is most likely to be Lin Dan so he can retire as a member of world champion team if I were LYB.

Similar to Korean putting Lee Hyun Il in 3rd Singles in earlier edition of TC. These are 'bankable' player. It will be interesting to see LHI vs LD in TC 2014.
Hmmm, come to think of it, Indonesia too has Simon or Taufik at 3rd. :)

Agree. Given his experience and his ability, no other 3rd MS in the world could be competitive even with a 70% or even 60% LD.
