    My thoughts are:

very soon if U become a good stringer, friends at first, the people in the sport will turn towards u for stringing services. In which case better have a decent machine u can deliver. Of course in case u do not have the time then there is no point. afterall it takes some 30mns to string a racket.

I can see myself doing some rackets for friends, but it would definitely just be a hobby for me while I'm in the Philippines. The local sporting goods stores charge about $1.40 US to string a racket if you buy the string from them, or $1.60 US if you bring in your own string.

At that rate, I can't even kid myself that I'm doing it to save money. I'd have to break 180 strings in the year I'm here just to break even! Mostly, I have extra time on my hands while I'm here, and stringing is something I can do with the time that won't get me in trouble. :)

whichever U chose I wish U all the best. Also this forum contains loads of info on strings and stringing and LOTS of competent people eager to help out with some of the frustrations U will encounter with some of the rackets. PM me if u need help. Cheers

Thank you for the offer. I've been reading all the stickied threads on stringing and quite a few of the others, and I'm looking forward to getting into it. Also been watching a lot of Youtube videos.

It looks a monster but honestly i have no idea if this is good or not,

I fell over laughing when reading Page 5 product details "**** uses bold copper wire, long durable life, use more confidence"

Yes, I've had a few laughs from their site. I actually helped them with some translations for promotional material for their table tennis machine (but not enough to justify asking for a freebie, unfortunately). I think most of their English is taken verbatim from Google Translate. Google translates the Chinese characters for "DK" to "****".

And elsewhere on the site: "**** made of high strength wear resistant materials ... not to hurt the beat long durable life."

It's a stringing machine and so much more...
