Uh guys, Need some help here. Before I strung and grip my sw37 3UG2 I dint get the dry weight. The wet weight is around 97-100g strung with BG66ultimax @26lb + yonex super grap. Can some1 with rich experience help me roughly guess the dry weight of my sw37 please? Thanks in advance
I have 8g for an entire length of 0.6 overgrip (I use RKEP Ultimate though @ 14g cut to size), and 4g for a 0.68 string. Generally, my net weights are about 9-10g more than gross.
My RKEP Elite (0.6mm) weighs 8.4g with plastic wrapper, a standard set Zymax 70 4.4g (so roughly 4g should go on your racket). The overall weight increase should be 11-12g. I never cut any overgrip (it's a bit short, actually ) so all of it goes onto the racket. My usual wet weights are so varied they're of no use - every racket is gripped differently and has different strings^^
Be aware that rkep elites weigh differently in different colours, although this won't affect swing weight too much but still somewhat. White and pink lightest at 6.7g, black 7.3g, blue 7.5g, gray 7.7g, red 8.0g, yellow 8.3g, green 8.6g heaviest. (So I had too much time on my hands one day. ) So if you want higher bp, please don't choose yellow or green.
^ If a non-baddy enthusiast happens to stumble onto this post, he would think we are completely nuts and discussing about string theory or rocket science or event horizon or something, lol.
One short word for this: Freaks And yes, all of you are Freaks! And with this forum it seems to be that I'm also going to become a freak
Don't take my comment as an offense We all know that badminton isn't a sport only. It's passion @visor: +/- 0.01g? That must be pretty precise. Didn't you mean 0.1g? (maybe you wanna name your digital scale)
Lol, now I got another "nut" going. . It's this one, and yes it's accurate to 0.01g and comes with two calibration wts. . http://item.mobileweb.ebay.ca/viewitem?itemId=220821646024&index=22&nav=SEARCH&nid=52184144424
Hehe, got a new 200g +/- 0.05g digital scale a couple of weeks ago after I wore down my old one. Hopefully this one is of a better quality.
