i like both yonex and ashaway strings.
in terms of performance, i'd say my selection of bg66/80/85's have a slight edge, but overall, considering cost and durability as well, i'd say ashaway micropower (0.70) is my favorite.

 It's only a pack of string. If you put it on, don't like it, it's how much? Just cut it off. It's not a big deal. :p

What duh?! I just checked your profile, you're a racket stringer? Then double shame on you for asking this question. :D:D:D

I think Ashaway is a love it or hate it for most people. I like the feel of it their high end strings which feel soft but crisp. One thing I like about Ashaway is their durability. The same width seems to be more durable with Ashaway. Their tension retainment doesn't seem as good though no matter how much I prestretch.

For me, it's usually a bit of break-in, and then I'll love the string for a 2-3 sessions and then it feels too loose.

I would suggest you do so, NGX is the best string I've tried. :D

    They're good, ti65, CF70, CF66, CF64, BS963. All are good strings.

I just like pg65 better....And sotx strings would run out fast if I use them, I don't like the idea I'm cleaning out my own stock so fast;)

I can't say much because Ashaway didn't say anything much. They just sent me some samples to test and I gave a few to some of the experts here on BC...I didn't send you any because you're so far away...:p

If you want some, just mail me. :D

I will say this, my findings/guesstimates:

NGX81: ~0.69mm, plays as good if not better than BG80 and is more durable, on par with BG65. Holds tension as good if not better than BG-70Pro!

NGX82: ~0.73mm, plays on par with BG80 and is more durable than any string I've tried this side of "PE String". Holds tension better than any string I've tried.

NGX is not soft, it's a stiffer string, not quite as stiff as BG80 but close.
