Just want to find out if anyone uses a special grip finishing tape, ie not the ones that comes free with the grip. I find that those are of not very good quality. I was thinking of purchasing some, does anyone use them? Where do you get it from and how much?

    Cheers.

I usually use the grip tape that comes with the grip. The key is to stretch it as you tape your grip.

Some other people use electrical tape, which they say does the job.

I use the 3M Micropore Paper Tape. They cost cheap (especially when on clearance), don't weight much (so I don't add any more weight to the handle side) and if you need to grip on that part, feels soft and comfortable for the gripping fingers.

i know what you mean. the ones that comes with the grip usually is not as flexible, so when you wrap it, it leaves a lot of creases - makes it easier to come off as well.

Try electrical wire bind tape.(PVC tape). They work wonders.
    1) They don't came off easily like most of the grip tape if you dont stretch properly when sticking it.
    2) They are light (almost weightless)
    3) They are available in many colors (Black, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, you name it)
    4) They are water resistant (they are meant for electrical - Hey. So if u sweat, it won't affect the tape's adhesiveness)
    5) Any DIY shops, Electrical shops, etc will sell. Easy to get.
    6) They are cheap.

Since i am professionally trained as an electrical engineer, i m speaking from my experience hahaha :D :D :D

Wilson overgrips used to come with pretty good finishing tape but the recent ones are just terrible. I ended up putting a tiny piece of scotch tape over the end. Solves the problem of finishing tape becoming undone.

yeah, after stretching those wilson stickies, they tends to move upwards the cone & loosen up from the grip. horrible.
