They're fatigue after taking part in CHN National Games. Next tourney for LD possibly Dutch Open GP next October, waiting the entry list published by BWF.

All of them are jaded after the long, grueling, fiercely contested Chinese National Games, what with having to travel here without rest - I suspect these CHN players are conceding walkovers in protest en masse.

I really hope LI xuerui would get a walkover from this tournament.
she just won the gold medal of women singles in the Chinese National Games yersterday evening after a grueling match. btw, it's the second gold medal during the last ten days.
Also, she had already played 12 matches during the last ten days and won 11 of them, including women singles, women doubles and mixed doubles (the only match she failed).
It's tooooooooooo hard for a player to continue

Two somewhat unexpected results, Zhou Wenlong eliminated Rumbaka and Yao Xue overcame Busanan.

Also I thought LXR would follow the other 9 CHN players and withdrew, considering she just finished her WS Final's match yesterday night and immediately flew over here, arriving this morning without proper sleep and rest. Besides, she cramped her thigh muscles, not sure quads or hamstrings, after that match with Liu Xin.

Oh, btw, just noticed Liu Xin whose thigh had to be bandaged yesterday actually played late this morning and beat her young colleague Shen Yaying. Maybe it has to do with the fact that both LXR and Liu Xin are from the PLA and as soldiers have to obey order and show fighting spirit. As LXR said yesterday, soldiers have to display the spirit of never giving up, never surrendering, and do their utmost in every match to the best of their abilities.

Absolutely agree with you. She had better not push herself too hard here and risk injury. Don't forget next week she has to compete at the JPN Open SS.

Now, if LD and LXR withdraw, the draw will look more like GPG than SS

Maybe a few more withdrawals from the CHN players tomorrow ? There are Chen Yuekun, Huang Yuxiang, Du Pengyu and some doubles players still playing their finals in the CNG today.

Not bad, WZM managed to get past Viktor in two straights, 21-13, 21-18. Yeah, WZM hasn't got the status and accomplishments of Chen Long and must work harder to prove himself. Good, keep it up, no matter how tired he is, nothing to lose anyway; just keep going, take it as a test of endurance and gain experience from it.

Just noticed the young CHN MD Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen upset the KOR 6th seed Shin BC/ Yoo YS in a tight 3-setter, 11-21,21-16, and 21-19.

Cheng Shu got serious injured in WD Final's match in CNG 10 minutes ago.:crying: ZYL and CS will definitely withdraw tomorrow.
Except Olympics, CNG is extremely important, even more important than WC for CHN players.
It's too risky now for players who had already played so many matches in couple of days before, So I really beg LXR to withdraw

Too easy to give a Walkover. Those players are professional and they know the schedule of this tournament months ago thus grueling timetable can't be blamed but yourself.
We all play badminton games, how many games do you and I play in 2 hours session ? they only play 1 match. If you go and watch them in training, their training is like 5x harder.

I would say, is too easy to WO, too lame, not professional enough, lack of respect to fans.
You and me will one day pay $100 ticket like a lottery.

you do not know the meaning of the Chinese National Games for all CHN players (including all sports).
btw, the badminton players have to show in the China Master only because those sponsors force them to do so.
