I'm happy right now, after bad result from BD.

Is arya still eligible for next year?? If yes, then will Arya be paired up with Kevin again?

Indeed...I believe every INA badminton fan deserves the congratulations!

I never expect INA will win XD as the competition this year is so strong. I just wrote yesterday what if both INA pairs progress to the Final? They really prove me wrong big time! You guys really deserve the all-INA Final tomorrow!

What a day it will be also for the home crowd if their players can make it 2 titles tomorrow!

    BS FINAL
Song Xue [9/16] vs Kento Momota [2] - Kenta will take this one.

    GS FINAL
    Nozomi Okohura
[2] vs Akane Yamaguchi [9/16] - similarly Nozomi will take the GS crown.

    BD FINAL
Takuto Inoue/Yuki Kaneko [5/8] vs Lee Chun Hei/Ng Ka Long [3/4] - I am still gutted that there's no INA pair in the SF this year :( Lee/Ng have a slight edge.

    GD FINAL
Yu Xiaohan/Huang Yaqiong [5/8] vs Lee Soo Hee/Shin Seung Chan [2] - the defending champion has a slight edge.

    XD FINAL
Alfian Eko Prasetya/Shella Devi Aulia [9/16] vs Edi Subaktiar/Melati Daeva Oktaviani [2] - overall, I think Edi/Melati are slightly superior compared to Alfian/Shella. They certainly deserve a WJC title to cap a great year in terms of international titles won: Dutch Junior, Banuinvest International, and Tangkas Specs Junior Challenge.

Arya is still eligible. I still prefer Kevin to be paired with Rafi.

    Results of INA players:
BS - kinda expected that only 1 player will be in QF. When the draw was made, I wrote that INA will be lucky to have 1 player in R16 for BS and GS. But the luck of draw could have seen Panji Akbar Sudrajat winning medal. Too bad he failed today. Only a slight disappointment.

GS - see above but I am not at all disappointed as Hanna's standard is at best QF.

BD - this is the event that I think all INA fans will be gutted and seriously upset :( We have the top 2 seeds in Hafiz/Putra and Edi/Arya + no 5/8 seed Kevin/Rafi in the Draw. I expect at least 2 pairs to make it to the SF and PBSI also targets a Gold Medal. So, returning back without even a Bronze Medal is clearly unacceptable! This shows that there's still a lot of homework for the pairs to be prepared next year, in particular Kevin/Rafi who really shouldn't have lost to the KOR pair in R16 after such a big lead in the decider set!

GD - when the draw was made, it was obvious that Anggia/Shella will not make it far. So, the only hope was on Melati/Rosyita. They delivered by progressing to the QF and lost to a higher seeded pair in Chow/Lee. So, not disappointed also.

XD - this is the unexpected one. I thought Edi/Melati will be the only pair that will make it to SF when the draw was made as Alfian/Shella really had a super tough draw. So, an all-INA Final is really something that I consider a miracle!

Not completely surprised that VA lost to Song Xue in the QF of BS. While I do think Xue is good, VA travelled from france to Japan on the Monday, with his first match being on the Tuesday. There is a 9 hour time difference between Central Europe and Japan, which meant that the match started at 3:30am European time. VA had had no time to recover from what I am sure was a very stressful and tiring week and then had no time to get used to the time zone. No other players had that issue. Their sole focus has been WJC, probably for years. No entrant in the BS tournament would be able to touch Viktor if they played each other in Europe, or allowed time for him to be at his best.

I very much doubt that Kento will be able to beat Xue in the final.

There were less number of crowd watching matches. I think people have given lesser importance to junior tournaments . I hope this condition will change as soon as possible. Badminton has to improve in all ways. There should not be any discrimination whether it is of junior category or senior category, importance should be equally to both of these. I hope this condition will change soon . What do you say?
