LOL, don't tell me u have been waiting the whole day with the sun shining towards you to take your bazooka up and shoot this?
for months george! i've been planning to take that shot for months! whenever i got time between jobs. i always got my camera ready. looking up to the sky and waiting for something happen........
no master drifit! i am really not in a position to make comment on others photo. i m more or less a beginner and i've got so much to learn. really!
ok. i am just start to learn crawling. you still have more experience to teach me something. i am not as good as you. i didnt wait and just got lucky with this crap photo...
^^Actually..^^ ..we're waiting for you to entertain us with some delicious M'sian food pics!!(yes, it's almost lunch time here in west coast USA). I guarantee you, once you post some mouth watering Char Kuay Teow or Ais Kacang or Penang Laksa pics, you'll get plenty of replies!!..(if i'm wrong, i'll treat you out for a nice dinner the next time i'm in M'sia. how's that for a deal??)
Don't be silly. I think the only reason is that. I need to pick up my camera and shoot everyday. That means I have more time to practice. Anyway, we are all even here! Coz we are willing to shoot and willing to share. Just couldn't be happier!
either you are wrong or i am wrong. make yourself to MAS, i treat you with unlimited satay. deal? i am too busy with those food during my visit to Penang, so, forgot to snap some photos.... thanks. as many people will say "dont stingy on the knowledge!" errr..... that one caught at Penang while he is packing his dinner back home. this one, as per your guess ......
common kingfisher i am not a birder drifit. but i've read some posts from other discussion groups since last year. and discovered a kind of bird which i think is the most beautiful so far. that's the common kingfisher! i've been searching for it for quite some time! but never get a chance to see it in the urban area! luckly, i saw it during my trip in japan few weeks ago! not just that! i saw it flying and diving for fish! unfortunately, that's no way i could do to capture that action. coz i was using my 500mm f/8 mirror lens and shooting at 1/60 sec..............
how about D3s + 300mm f/2.8 + TC2x? two focal range in one shot. 300 or 600. or even + TC1.4x, can get 420mm. 500mm f/4 + TC1.7x & TC1.4. for birder, manual focus is okay.
500mm f4 + 1.4X teleconverter are the standard weapon for birding. you know, i wouldn't mind using mf lenses again. i had used them for years. nikon ais 300 f2.8, 400mm f3.5 and 500mm f4 p.
