Actually I think can you know. Seeing how terrible Kido played... I'm being very serious here. If any of the three pairs play against MK/HS, they have a chance to snatch a win.

The danish pair were the strongest yesterday. It's just not Kido's day yesterday and this happens to pro players sometimes. They are the current OG champion and i don't think that's just them yesterday. Wait til they show their true ability.

but it's the best if 1 of our mas elite/back up pairs can beat them!;):).. let's feel good btw.
I'm still waiting for that day to come!

You saw the wrong type of trend ie catch wrong meaning ;)
On a serious note, they will be able to beat Kido/Hendra after more experience in tournaments. GWS/TKS drag Kido/Hendra to rubber in Msia GP Gold

But CPS/LKW lost to MK/HS not long before that in straight games, but that time LKW was sick or injured or something like that, while CPS was not really in form.

MHC/TWK's graph is abit weird though, they lost to KSH/YYS in the first round of the China Masters without putting up a fight but beat them rather comfortably in the Japan Open a week later. But they can't beat MB/CM and CB/ZN, something that CPS/LKW has done.

The match temperament of MHC/TWK will improve with more tournament experience hopefully..still they froze against higher ranked opponents..MK-HS is yo-yo pair, we can't always expect them to play badly in order for our back-ups to beat them.

Agree..MHC-TWK is kinda inconsistent compared to CPS-LKW while the latter was not given much exposure lately due to CPS involvement in XD.
With more tournaments, I believe CPS-LKW would have had created more upsets

    Caught the wrong ball again??:eek::eek:
btw, i heard during Msia GP Gold, Kido is not in top form.
    GWS/TKS drag them to rubber, 18-21, 21-9,21-15..
and the already disband pair OSH/HTH also drag them to rubber, 21-19, 19-21, 22-20...
if we look into score...HTH/OSH more impressive wor...

Pretty sums up what I want to say....is not easy to judge based on scoreline or results of different matches..
not every players can perform the same standard all the time, thats why we always say consistency...

Back to the 3 pairs, I think is not fair to judge them based on current results. Maybe 2-3 years time
is a fair time frame to see whether they are good pairs or just normal pairs in our squad...

Yes, just give them more 'time'..

They must always remember that time is very precious.. and there's still many badminton players in this country hungry and awaiting to take their place.

Yes, this thread is about 'race between 3 pairs'......given time from now on, who will be the front runner internationally, besides KKK/TBH for MAS !

I know, I also read the same, someone posted that abt Kido. I didnt count Hoon/Ong in, since this thread abt the 3 pairs & Hoon/Ong are split already. Hoon/Ong of course must be more impressive in score, 24 & 25 y.o. already leh.
Anyway, we shall continue to follow the 3 pairs progress.

Hehe, CPS was not feeling well, LKW still not fully recovered from knee injury that time.
Koo/Yoo :1st time, still feeling the opponent. 2nd time, know better already. If still lose, 3rd time, know even better. Same with GWS/TKS vs Fang/Lee or other opponents.

CPS/LKW playing style different, they can handle young power play pairs like CB/ZN. Next time when they vs Boe/M, will be harder already. 1st time I think CPS/LKW surprised Boe/M ;)

Time is not a luxury these days, especially MAS only has 1 pair of international standing(not necessarily consistent), the others have to mature fast..learning curve is steep.
Thomas Cup is 2012, OG is also held in 2002. Giving 2-3 years to judge their standard is not feasible. Their breakthrough year should be next year. Look at OSH-HTH, Fuzzy, they have been given years to peak..but they just simply lack the 'edge' to make it big internationally

We never really had 2 top class MD players like INA, KOR or CHN but the closest we came to was having KKK-TBH, CTF-LWW in the same team for AG 2006
