Always keeping in touch with fellow BCers/CCCers . I surf at home and away from home; always keeping in touch with fellow BCers/CCCers. BTW, I hope ctjcad can help me to solve this request;
photos are in small size, shall not be the loading problem. you need to consider where are members located. here, having 2mb line is a luxury. having 4mb is super luxury. furthermore, i am located the other side of world to BC server.
In pictures ... 1 out of 2 today (first capture after 5 seconds or so, second after I came back a couple of minutes later but probably failed to load after 20 secs). I would still say close to at least once a day depending on how much I visit, which could be a couple of times a day to a couple of times a week only (and I'm not on wifi). But a quick f5 is all it takes ...
demolidor, dude, sorry to see that...looks like connection issue..i've never had that occur every day (honest to goodness) or whenever i logged in, although an occasional lag or delay but never seen the "The connection has timed out" msg *every* time..wifi or landline.. How about trying to use IE??..i also hardly use FF..
dear chris-ccc, please follow the links below. See if those'll help you: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/member.php?22734-mojopin (last activity on June 02, 2010) http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/search.php?searchid=370840 (last post on March 11, 2010) http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/search.php?searchid=370885 (last post on August 04, 2008) I had to use the Advanced Search feature and clicked on the left tab (Search Single Content Type) to find his only post for your club's sub-forum. Btw, yes, for some reason, the feature to find post(s) of a member in a specific thread, by clicking on the Replies link, is not working like before. Before, we could just click on the Replies link and the individual post(s) of a specific member would show up. I brought this up in another post 2 pages (and showed a couple of pics>see post #145).
Found that mojopin (from Ireland) played at CCC Badminton on Wednesday 06-Aug-2008 . Thanks kwun. It's now working. Found that mojopin (from Ireland) played at CCC Badminton on Wednesday 06-Aug-2008. .
kwun has now made searching in a particular thread/forum active . For your time in the USA, the post was made on 04-Aug-2010 and played on 05-Aug-2010. For us in Australia, it was 05-Aug and 06-Aug respectively. kwun has now made searching in a particular thread/forum active. So I just searched in our 'CCC Forum': http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?192-CCC-Badminton-Club .
I mentioned this before, but can you please include the newly posted message in the email updates that we get when there are new postings in subscribed threads. This way we don't have to go back to the forum to check the thread unneccesarily to see what was posted.
chris-ccc, how or which feature, on that link page, did you use to find when mojopin last posted in that thread? did you use the Advanced Search feature? if so, it was already working before kwun "solved" it (see Advanced Search feature under the main Search box, near the top). Just follow the same step as i already mentioned above. or you used something else? sorry, came a bit late & couldn't help you earlier.. does the software (vBulletin) have this feature??..
Thanks for trying to help me . I went searching at 'Search CCC Sub-Forum' (without 'Advanced') and I found it (appearing as just one post). Perhaps previously I was searching in 'Search ALL Forums' and there were too many threads and posts for me to scroll through. Anyway, I have found what I was looking for. Thanks for trying to help me. .
do you mind pointing to the link/feature where you did the "Search CCC Sub-Forum" and "Search All Forums"??..
"Search All Forums" is located at the top of the whole screen . "Search All Forums" is located at the top of the whole screen; also labelled as "Advanced Search". "Search CCC Sub-Forum" is located under "Page Number". .
i clicked on the link you put above, you mean the "Search CCC Sub-forum" is the same as "Search Thread" or "Search Forum" feature??.. so, how did you actually find mojopin's last post using the "Search CCC Sub-forum"?..did you just punch in his username in the box and press Search??..or something else? btw, there's also the Advanced Search option in the "Search Thread"/"Search Forum" function..
sorry for those who still have issues with speed. with the latest accelerator installed, i find that the speed is quite good, in fact, comparable if not faster than previous version. however, your experience still depends on your connection, browser and computer speed. i recommend faster browsers like firefox or chrome. just don't use IE, it is crap. the server still have the issue that it has a certain delay on the first connect. this has been the case even for old version. i cannot figure out why that is so.
