ok.. I'm going to buy it anyway but Is it possible for it to be checked before I buy cause for me £66 is pretty hefty lmao and I'm pretty sure I like to buy a real than fake, since i really need one Thanks
Oh ok sorry, Anyway I got two rackets for the price of $39.99 plus $35.00 for shipping. I popped the strings of the first racket within minutes of use, so I sent the ebay seller a pic and requested a new racket. After receiving my info from this site I gave him some major negative feedback.I mentioned that his merchandise was counterfeit. Needless to say he was angry especially after he sent me a new racket. Should I report this person to Yonex???Does that help? BTW, the 2nd racket actually works pretty well. By my research I found that these rackets were pretty darn good fakes. Most of the tell tale signs were in order, but like the other poster said..."my bubble has been burst!" It's ok though, it will never happen again. Thanks for all of the insight.
By all means try and report them to Yonex, I'm not sure if you'll get anything done but on the off chance that you do, it'd be worth it. I doubt Yonex will have much sympathy though, it's likely they'll just say that you should've bought it from a Yonex authorised store. My response to that would be "well you should be trying to get fakes off the marketplace altogether, then I as a buyer wouldn't have to worry where I bought Yonex products from". Next time you pop a string, just get whatever racket it is restrung, it's much cheaper than buying a new one I could slate you for buying an MP99 for $39.99 but you seem like a really nice guy who just wasn't as aware of fake rackets as you need to be on eBay. I hope you get a good response from Yonex and that appropriate action is taken and the advice I would give you for next time is that genuine rackets on eBay generally cost nearly as much as rackets from legitimate shops, bargains are few and far between.
1) Yonex has been working very hard to ask eBay to take down the fake auctions. It is really time consuming and eBay is not helping either because they make money from it. 2) The fake sellers just spend $10 to buy 500 good feed backs from other fake sellers. Also they just change the user name. 3) Yes, YY will just tell you that you should buy a racquet from auth. dealer in your area or from US dealer on the Web. Yonex has done a lot to educate the consumers on fake racquets. Like the comparisons of real vs fake. Date code and ser #. However, YY can not prevent every fake seller from china. 4) Members has been warning others that if the deal is too good to be true, it usually is. If you try to take advantage of amazing deal, please be very aware that you might be taken advantage. If a seller has a lot of postive feed back and keep selling the racquet at less than 1/2 of retail price in your area, how can he/she stay in business? 5) Do research yourself. You get to learn a lot too.
Could you please check if the following racquet is real? racket model: Nanospeed 9900 shaft serial: 8177006 cone code : 060192CH racket model: ArcSaber 9 shaft serial: 8084125 cone code : 211182CH Thanks in advance!
