    No wonder...
Used to see her in the Varsity Team of University of Toronto, but not anymore.
She is playing international and a full time player now...
    Wow~~~ Good for her!

What are her chances along with Rena Wang to cause an upset ? Almost nil!

You go to the Olympics to play the best in the world.... you might as well do it right off the bat!

The draw has given Ms. Li a straight-forward proposition: Do or die.
And her life is much simplified, thereby (to paraphrase Churchill). No wasted energy and worry about 2nd round 'what-ifs' and 'maybes'. She can focus everything on this one task.

So, stay loose, and do yourself proud, Michelle! We Canucks are already proud of you, no matter what. :)

Derrick Ng asks a question at 4:33pm and gets an answer from the horse's mouth in the same minute!
CNN could use a reporter with such mad research skills. :)

(...of course the two national team members could simply have been texting from adjacent practice courts...)

From the stats on TS, it would appear that ML was down 8-13 in G1 and 17-20 in G2 before coming back and winning each game 22-20.

That bodes well for her confidence going into tomorrow to face Bellaetrix Manuputty. A good challenge for our Canadian hope. And an attractive game for the spectators.
