He DOES use the JJS. There have been some photos during the OG preparation where you could clearly see it, and the JO footage cements that. Smash looks a bit more dangerous than with the BS12.

Is that an Arc-10 Premium Edition? Looks a little different?

Does Taufik Hidayat only use Arc 10s now and not the Arc-ZS?

Taufik only used the Arc ZS once at the French open, and possibly at the Japan open, that was it.

Thanks, thought as much. I've never seen him use it but on the Yonex site they say he uses both.

Are there any prominent professionals that still uses the Arc ZS?

It's not a real record. There were no other rackets tested in the same manner and only Yonex-sponsored players competed. Real records are recorded during competition using a radar-based system rather than the high-speed camera Yonex employed.
Effective marketing, but at the end of the day, only marketing. Also quite telling that NO real smasher ever really used this in competition...

I'd also point out reiko shiota, she may not be the best player but looking at people reactions in some threads in the general forum you can't deny she draws attention :)

Where "lately" = for a long while even [IMG]

Just noticing Kenichi Hayakawa is now playing with Kumpoo instead of Yonex ARC8DX (almost looked like a Voltric 5 for a minute :D)

I think if you have the most successful team in the sport using your equipment and they regularly play the hardest smash in the tournament you don't worry so much about one advertisement ;)

. Some of them look like they were cut out. So maybe it was just time for everything to be restrung.
