Not five seconds faster than previously but five seconds:D Never timed it opening on the old computer but it did take ever so long.

It's not what the iCute label says but what's underneath that counts;) Still have yet to get the 2nd HDD.

Got a software conflict last night. I installed avast antivirus and the system got messed up. Uninstalling partially helped but now the computer won't switch off from XP, have to physically switch the power off!

You should use "System Restore" in XP. Create a restore point before you try new software and go back when things don't work out. Save you a lot of hassle.

I bought the 22" Dell. They dropped the price just over 50USD from when I first saw it to just a couple of days later. So I got a couple of a good deals - cheaper quad core and a cheaper 22".

Just plain lucky - it doesn't usually happen that way to me.

Dell Singapore and I presume most other countries has this policy: if the price drops within 1 week, you can ask Dell to refund you the difference.

Anyway, regarding the iCute casing, I hope you are not using iCute power supply, there have been reports in hardware forums of icute power supplies blowing up.... (smoke, but no fire, fortunately). Good power supply is one of the most neglected aspects of a computer.
