I'm not sure how the electrical system works in the UK. In the US, there are 3-prongs.

Best to contact your Wise distributor and figure it out.

The new and old gripper look identical, you cannot tell the difference. The difference is, the inner grooves go deeper so it can grip the string tighter.

Do somebody know, wich is the lowest tension possible with the Wise 2086?

I have to string for some people at 18 lbs.

I saw somewhere on a internet-shop site a remark like that normally it starts at 20 lbs, but when you don't use a lockout function or some thing like that, than it will go with 18 lbs too. It must be on the site of a british sportshop I think.

20lbs is the lowest my neglected WISE will register as a pull tension. It may go lower if i leave the constant pull off, but then whats the point of the machine if you dont use the cp.

If you turn off the constant pull, you effectively have an electronic lock-out machine.

So, yes, if you turn off the constant pull at 20lbs., you will get about about an equivalent 2lbs. lower string tension...18lbs. (of course it won't be as consistent as with the CP feature turned on).

Mine is Exthree 2600 DC lock out machine. I was planning to buy 2086 Tennis head from US through my cousina. In the specification I noticed that it can be calibrated between 70 - 85 lbs. How can I rely on this, since I am stringing for bad.rackets only between 24 - 27 lbs?
need some suggetion from 2086 users.

I have Wise2086 tension-head for almost one year, and it is still OK, no need calibration since it has auto-calibration ....

just buy and you will never regret ....

the only caution is the electricity supply, it the voltage is not constant, then you'd better buy the voltage-stabilizer ....

To the greats of the forum, could you please answer the following question for me with your all-knowingness :p

I'm stringing with the 2086 and every so often the reader does not get up to the required tension and stops and reads out "7"...is this some sort of error or just indication that it couldn't reach the required tension?

I've had two racquets I've tried with re-tensioning and then after a while just left it....they came out rather under-strung :(

WISE 2086 for Pro's Pro Pilot

I finally decided to join the WISE 2086 club. Hoping some to get good advice from you guys to a small problem. My base of this machine appears to be smaller than my Pro's pro pilot bar. I call WISE and they told me they don't support Pro's pro and recommended me to modify my base to make it larger in some machine shop. Is this the best course of action or are there places I can purchase some kind of adapter? Many thanks in advance for any of your suggestion.
