Thank goodness I read your name more carefully. For a moment I thought why would the Lord of Darkness be posting on a badminton forum. :D

The call was correct. That shot by LD was out.

Yup, but LD certainly didn't seem very happy. Not to mention he kept going for that line later.

Maybe he was trying to prove a point.

To prove his point and take a dig at the line judge.

Haha, I don't put myself in that category. You're alone there, friend.

And win he did. It always boils down to who makes the most mistakes in matches between this two great athletes. Unfortunately today was Lin Dan's turn.

The game went LCW's way only when he reverted to his usual high intensity game.
Not to mention tons of variety in his shots and superb net touches, Lin Dan gave up after the score was about 16-10.

    Good job Dato ....

What most impressed me was that LCW was able to take the 2nd set being really pressed by LD in the late stages. If I remember correctly, Lin Dan was still leading like 17-16 and 18-17. Being one game down and coming top of that will probably do wonders for LCW's confidence. He looked nervous and helpless up to that point, but became a new man after that.

After rushing back from a friend's wedding to catch the MS final my observation:

G1: LCW was still kinda nervous. Still unsure if he could win this match, past losses haunting him, making him playing rather safely but at the same trying to see if he could try to win points. Many errors also. His smashes going out. *sigh*
G2: He changed his game, more aggressive, more variety. Built some confidence. It pays alot! (I was successfully glued to the tv screen!)
G3: He maintained his composure with LD making unforced errors and yeah, losing interest, kind of, (but I don't really care on that) and he won!!!! - this is all that matters today hehehe... :D :D

All that I see from this match : many techniques, great techniques by both players. Both managed to fool one another and both managed to win points by out-maneuvering one another... well I LOVE it. I don't regret telling me boss that I would be delayed to the office today cos I rather spend that 1-hour plus watching this battle of LCW vs LD. And I'm glad I don't miss it. :D

Congratulations on a job well done LCW!!

Looks like he follows your 2nd option. The coming week of Mas Open will be very interesting indeed now..
WOW, datuk lee very smart ah.. BIG ang pow before chinese new year.. He is
    RM 236,071.00 richer now:D

    YUP..
Does that mean that Lin Dan's mental is not strong in today's final??
Agree with you. Both men looks 'no mood' for an explosive battle today. Maybe because of the cold weather??
