george @ chongwei to right: let's give the video or another. This would be a shame not being able to use the ethod of Lee Chong Wei.
It seems so hard to please the people here. Uploaded a video yet demanded on HD recording. To me, the quality of the video was decent and what's the most important in this clip is the tutorial on how to grip racket, not quality!
Excuse me if I said at one point that the quality was not HD, it was just because I could not see whether it was directly put the overgrip on the handle. I was more on a PC that had no opportunity to get sound. Ants, you can put the same video (if you did not delete from your PC) or another but please, put in one.
Maybe someone who had watch the video and planning to use LCW style can post up. I have rough idea of the grip style but a bit confused at the start because there is a special trick at the beginning.
leave ants alone guys, here is some useful video: http://blog.badmintonbay.com/2010/05/how-to-wrap-badminton-racket-grip-video.html
Hi, I'm a bit new here and I hope that Mister Ants will reupload the video again. I love to know how LCW put his grip on his racket.
For those who are anxious waiting and want to give a try, I try to explain the steps here. Normally when we put on grip, will start of with the narrow end with double sided tape. LCW style is opposite. Start with the normal end(the other end) and end with the narrow end and stick the double sided tape when finish it so no need to use finishing tape to secure the grip. LCW style is a bit tricky at the bottom because he use some special tape to make the bottom a bit bigger and they way he start he grip from bottom is little hard to follow.
That "special tape" is just leftover grip (about half width or doublefolded) to create a bulge at the bottom and the wooden handle is covered in athletic tape to somewhat prevent the sweat from soaking in the wood. Other than that nothing special just start from the ending side of the tape and leave the sticky part for the end. The "weird" start is just so you don't have to cut of the beginning at an angle to make a start. Just start about half a width down (about the edge of the bulge) at an upwards angle, wrap the buttcap and continue as you normally would ... (if that makes sense to you )
