Raymond is a former back-up player!! he was my trainer/coach during my stay in malyasia!!!

He, together with Yogendran and Kay Bin are playing some tournaments, i think just for fun!! But he is still a very good player, with beautiful strokes and lots of diception!!

Hope he can make it even a round further in the main draw!!

Nice work by Lindaweni Fanetri in beating the 4th seed! She will now face a relatively easy match against Leisha Cooper for a place in the last 8 tomorrow. Unfortunately, Maria Elfira Christina was beaten by Hsu Ya-Ching in 3 tight-sets (esp the last 2). The TPE player has been a jinx to INA players as she also eliminated Aprilia Yuswandari 21-19, 21-19 in the Macau Open GP Gold and Febby Angguni in the Chinese-Taipei Open GP Gold in 2 tight-sets 22-20, 21-19.

Meanwhile, Maria Febe Kusumastuti will face Aprilia Yuswandari. I hope Febe and Lindaweni will meet each other in SF.

In the lower half, Fransiska Ratnasari [5] and Rizky Amelia Pradipta are also expected to clash tomorrow for a place in the last 8.

We wrote the same thing

In XD, all INA Pelatnas pairs advance to the next round so far, but expect only Tontowi Ahmad/Richi Puspita Dili [2] and Mohd Rijal/Debby Susanto [4] to go far. Rijal/Debby will face a tricky tie against Nuttaphon Narkthong/Vacharaporn Munkit tomorrow. It will be a bonus if Lingga Lie/Keshya Nurvita Hanadia and Wifqi Windarto/Anneke Feinya Agustine can beat their seeded opponents from MAS tomorrow.

Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka [3] should play club-mates Andreas Adityawarman [9] for a place in the last 8.

Nugroho Andi Saputro [15] and Alamsyah Yunus [16] also pass their first tests. Adnan Fauzi is likely to face the top-seed and home favorite Nguyen Tien-Minh tomorrow.
